Current Progress in Hepatology Research

Hepatology is the branch of medicine that is concerned with the study of liver, gallbladder, biliary tree, and pancreas. It also deals with the treatment of disorders associated with these organs. There are several types of hepatologic diseases including acute liver failure, alcoholic liver disease, hepatitis B and C, autoimmune liver diseases, primary biliary cholangitis, cirrhosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, etc. In recent years, there has been significant clinical research on the development of novel therapies, improving diagnostic modalities, and predictors of outcome for liver and related disorders.
