Beskrivelse af COVID-19, LOCAL ECONOMY AND CRIMINALITY IN BAYELSA STATE, NIGERIA
The objective of this work therefore is to establish how covid-19 pandemic has induced criminality and deteriorated the local economy of Bayelsa state, Nigeria. The stud adopted the Situational action theory (SAT) as our theoretical framework. The study adopted the descriptive research design to survey 2,277,961 populations of Bayelsa state using the Taro- Yamane formula to draw a sample size of 530. Purposive sampling technique was used in the study. The primary instruments used in generating data for this study were questionnaire and interview. The structured questionnaire titled: ¿Covid-19, local economy and criminality in Bayelsa state, Nigeriä. (C19LEACBSNQ). The collected data were analyzed using simple percentage and the thematic method was used to analysis the data derived from key informants.
