Beskrivelse af Carmilla
Carmilla is a Gothic novella written by Irish author Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. The story is set in Austria and follows a young woman named Laura who lives with her father in a remote castle. Laura's peaceful life is disrupted when a mysterious and beautiful stranger named Carmilla arrives at the castle and becomes her friend. However, strange things begin to happen around Carmilla and Laura starts to have frightening dreams. As the story unfolds, Laura discovers that Carmilla is not who she seems and is actually a vampire who has been preying on young women for centuries. With the help of a group of vampire hunters, Laura must find a way to stop Carmilla before it's too late. The book explores themes of obsession, forbidden desires, and the supernatural, and is considered a classic of Gothic literature.Nothing remained to assure us that the adventure had not been an illusion of a moment but the young lady, who just at that moment opened her eyes. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
