This docunovel like the six that preceded it is an amalgam of truth and fiction. All of the events described are based on actual occurrences, some of which have been slightly altered for the sake of dramatic unity. By 1992 I was ready to come home to the town of my birth, Des Moines Iowa. And I set myself up as a PI to make a modest living and eventually to supplement my Social Security. The time of this docunovel is 2016, about 21 years after my return to Des Moines. I have gotten old. There is no alluring, interesting way to put it.
