Beskrivelse af Burn the Sea
Blood Wild Chronicles Book Three
Too many had expressed interest in Fort Hamilton for Jia to doubt her father's belief in it.
Roland's murder meant that no one stood between its rumored treasure and those seeking control over all that remained of the known world.
No one stood in the way except Jia. No one except the Tracker-Mage Vance Segara who could guide her to where the fort was rumored to be. No one except a handful of allies willing to face the risks of the unincorporated lands to the west of the claimed territories.
But there were other responsibilities weighing upon her as well. She should remain at Queen's College and rebuild the pack. She should fight, alongside Vance, against those who hunted Cana for their blood. She should stand with Nik, as her father intended, as co-Laedans of LaGuardia to fight for the borough's future as the Channon house ripped itself apart.
None of those responsibilities, however, would matter if those with a lust for power found the Fort. No one, anthro, mutani, and normal alike, would be safe from the bloodshed if HOPE, or anyone else, got their hands on Fort Hamilton's rumored treasures first.
The Pack would have to be patient.
It had to be now.
The race had begun.
