Influenced by a shameful part of America's history - a great injustice that has been mostly forgotten - this story concerns human despair and the way out. It shadows a young Native American, reservation-born woman's struggle to escape the bonds of addiction, self-hatred, cultural indifference, and fear - and radiates her joy in finding the source of ultimate freedom.
