A small school of 400 souls in a British colony on the edge of a continent was, in the context of the world, an insignificant item. Valued, sorted, and graded by whatever talent, intellect or grace, they were found to lack or possess, they left childhood behind them and woke to a new perspective of the world. _ Bishops', founded more than 150 years ago as a prestigious girls' school, has long been heralded as one of the foremost educational institutions in the Caribbean.
