Between the Lighthouse and the Beach

Annie has travelled across the world from her native England to start a new life, her destination; Tasmania. Completely absorbed by her work -- not needing a partner or children -- such was her dedication and the fulfilment of her life's passion; archaeology. Until she meets Doug Hall, who exudes a strength of character which has her falling instantly in love with this tall, handsome, army lieutenant -- who also shares her passion for archaeology.
But Doug has a troubled past and has buried his pain behind his strong army persona. Until Annie reaches inside his heart, extracting his gentler, masculine side.
They share one intense week together before Doug is sent on a potentially dangerous army mission; promising to return to her.
However, Doug doesn't return and Annie has to rely on her inner resilience to cope with his silence while she tries to find out what happened to him.
When she does eventually find him, she learns that he is recovering from a serious brain injury and he is a different man; her gentle Doug once again hidden. But even worse -- he doesn't remember Annie or the love they shared.
Theirs is a story about finding their own inner strength in the face of adversity. Their love story traverses the wild Southern Ocean, between the beach where they first meet, and the island lighthouse where Doug has gone to be alone and recover.
