Beskrivelse af Ballads Of Lost Haven
Ballads of Lost Haven: A Book of the Sea is a collection of poems written by Canadian poet Bliss Carman and published in 1897. The book consists of 45 ballads that tell stories of the sea, its legends and myths, and the lives of sailors and fishermen. The poems are written in a lyrical and romantic style, evoking the beauty and danger of the ocean, as well as the courage and tragedy of those who make their living on the water. Some of the ballads are based on real-life events, such as shipwrecks and storms, while others are purely fictional. The book also includes illustrations by Canadian artist Louis Rhead. Ballads of Lost Haven is considered one of Carman's most significant works and a classic of Canadian literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
