When London squatter Sophix cycles down the Thames looking for a place to house her grow she discovers what appears to be an abandoned steamship. But old punk Nommo is expecting her and invites her to play his holographic video game inside a 1930's diving bell on a new, more psychedelic form of K. Strange things begin to occur and Sophix finds herself at an ancient fork in the road Western history had forgotten it had ever taken. Alchemachine excavates the forbidden doctrine of the augoeides and reveals a latent faculty once known as phantastikon that has resurfaced at key intervals throughout time.
