Shankar Prasad was born on 30 January 1890 at Sarai gowardhan, Kashi. Prasad Ji had his initial education in Kashi, after which his education was managed at home where he studied Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu and Persian. He was honored with Hindi poet, playwright, novelist and many titles. He died in Kashi on 15 November 1937 due to tuberculosis. Ajatashatru is about the son of bimbisara, the first emperor of the history of North India. He was very violent and undefeated in his early life, but in later life he was called a governing and efficient ruler with good behaviour. This play is useful, readable and collectible for every Indian.
