Beskrivelse af Afghans & Malaise
In the comical finale of The Oates Trilogy, all characters from the previous two books - Bali & Oates and Vietnamnesia - amazingly find themselves in Malaysia. Former Prime Minister Nigel Rushworth (now demoted to High Commissioner to Brunei) and Samantha Oates (still Ambassador to Vietnam) are reluctantly attending an international APEC conference. Both sense impending calamities when spotting former adversaries Ryan Bloody Blake and JB at the Kuala Lumpur airport. And at the same time a group of radical youths under the banner of FRACAS end up travelling around Malaysia with some unwanted Afghans. Once more - and for the final time - Samantha, Amy and Viv have to resolve the mess, although not everyone knows why APEC guests are leaving the conference in droves, how Dave ended up running a bar in Penang, and what Samantha will say when meeting the dishy new Foreign Minister of Australia.
