Beskrivelse af A Woman Of Thirty
""A Woman of Thirty"" is a novel written by the French author Honore de Balzac. The book tells the story of Julie, a woman who is approaching her thirtieth birthday and is struggling to come to terms with the choices she has made in her life. Julie had married a man she did not love in order to please her family, but after several years of an unhappy marriage, she falls in love with a younger man. However, her past decisions and societal expectations make it difficult for her to pursue this new love interest. The novel explores themes of love, marriage, societal expectations, and the role of women in 19th century France. Balzac's writing style is characterized by his attention to detail and his ability to capture the nuances of human emotions. ""A Woman of Thirty"" is considered one of Balzac's most poignant works and a classic of French literature.Hither, at the close of the year 1820, came a woman, still young, well known in Paris for her charm, her fair face, and her wit; and to the immense astonishment of the little village a mile away, this woman of high rank and corresponding fortune took up her abode at Saint-Lange.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
