Beskrivelse af A Visit to Moscow
Author Anna Olswanger has adapted this moving story from the writings of the late Rabbi Rafael Grossman; A Visit to Moscow is based on his story of visiting Moscow in the 1960s
Along with being an author, Anna Olswanger is a well-connected literary agent and represents many of West Margin's children’s book authors and illustrators
Yevgenia Nayberg offers moving illustration to craft the narrative of this graphic novel; it was important that an illustrator with knowledge of Jewish culture and/or Russian/Soviet culture was brought on for this projectIllustrator Yevgenia Nayberg was born in Kiev, Ukraine, and now lives in New York.
Rabbi Rafael Grossman’s family members are supportive of the project and have contributed their own written pieces to give additional context: Hillel Grossman’s essay will be included in the back matter, and Shamai and Aviva Grossman’s essays will be in press materialsAlthough intended for adults A Visit to Moscow has great crossover potential for young adults (ages 12+)Lexile HL610L; F&P Text Level Y
