What does a man do when he walks out of prison with two dollars in his pocket and the clothes on his back? When David Carson left Yuma Territorial Prison on that hot June morning, he could see no further than the stage road and a hot meal. His past held nothing that waited for his return, and his future didn't know he existed. At the age of thirty four, David had to face the most important choice of his life. Would he stay on the right side of the law, or go back to Benson and pick up where he left off? It was the question burning in his mind as he sat by the stage road, hoping for a ride.
