Beskrivelse af A Bill Of Divorcement
A Bill of Divorcement is a play written by Clemence Dane and first published in 1921. The play is set in England and follows the story of a family torn apart by mental illness. The main character, Hilary Fairfield, has spent fifteen years in a mental institution and is released just in time for Christmas. His wife, Margaret, has since remarried and has a new family, but Hilary wants to reunite with her and their daughter, Sydney. However, Margaret is hesitant to take him back due to his unstable mental state. The play explores the themes of love, family, and mental illness, and the consequences of divorce. The play was adapted into a film in 1932 starring Katharine Hepburn and John Barrymore. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
