Mastering the NT Witness to Christ-shows Jesus as the Scripture's theme and hermeneutical center. The heart of Christian leadership is growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, which includes mastering his life and teaching as witnessed in the Gospels. In this workshop we will look at the NT history of Jesus of Nazareth, from his pre-existent glory to his ascension recorded in Acts, and will concentrate on the importance of mastering the Gospels for the sake of communicating Christ clearly cross-culturally in the city. We examine how the apostles provide us in their Gospel writings a clear and persuasive account of the person and works of Jesus, and further explore how comprehending his life and ministry can enhance every dimension of Christian leadership in urban settings, especially within the urban church.
