- After Expelling the Moorish Jews

Bag om 1492

This book, 1492, written by Mary Johnston gave us a perspective of what happened after 1492 like no other. The story written in a first person perspective by the man named Jayme de Marchena, takes us around the world with him as he seeks adventure and discovery on the voyages to many lands after the expulsion of The Moors and Moorish Jews, (referred to as Jewess in the book ). In this book, the author accounts to us this fact as he states that there were moors left however, they were turned into Christians, or were made to be slaves, or both. We know that it is also a historical fact that whenever a ruling war fraction take over a country, they will use religion to change the people. What is more interesting about the book is the fact that on page 57 and 109, the quote from Columbus and other ship mates make a clear distinction between Negros and Moors, Spanish, etc. Again, to understand this concept of what the writer is speaking about one must understand that the color of your skin does not make you African. It is a well written piece of historical facts and well worth reading over twice as the story of conquests which is regularly forgotten in our age of computer technology. I urge you to do your own research and cross reference any material in this book as you will find just as I have that the information is not only historically correct, but it tells in a very entertaining way the secrets of World History . -(c)2017 Z.
