Beskrivelse af The Beach Of Dreams
The Beach of Dreams: A Romance is a novel written by Henry De Vere Stacpoole and published in 1919. The story takes place on a beautiful tropical island in the South Pacific, where the main character, a young man named Michael Fane, finds himself stranded after a shipwreck. As he explores the island, he discovers a hidden cove with a pristine beach that he calls the ""Beach of Dreams."" Michael soon meets a young woman named Rosamund, who has been living on the island with her father, a reclusive artist. Michael and Rosamund fall deeply in love and begin to build a life together on the island, surrounded by the beauty of nature and their own passion for each other. However, their idyllic existence is threatened by the arrival of a group of sailors who have also been shipwrecked on the island. Among them is a man named Harry Charnock, who becomes obsessed with Rosamund and will stop at nothing to have her for himself. As tensions rise and the danger of violence looms, Michael must fight to protect the woman he loves and the life they have built together on the Beach of Dreams. The novel is a classic tale of love, adventure, and the power of nature to heal and transform the human spirit. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
