Pray The Word

How comforting it is to know that God hears us when we pray and we have the requests we have asked of Him! Yet, the reality is, we don't always experience the desired results. At times we get thrown off and satan tempts us to shy away from prayer. But Hebrews 4:16 reminds us to come boldly before the throne of grace to find the help we need. Prayer is a powerful tool. It is our means to communicate with God, and aligns us with His will for our lives. Effective prayer consists of saying to God what He's already said in His Word. God's will is His Word. As we pray the Word in faith, it will not return void (Isaiah 55:11) and will achieve the purpose for which it was sent. John 15:7 says, "If you abide in me and my word abides in you, ask whatever you will and it shall be done unto you." God's word abides in us as a result of hearing the Word and meditating on it until it becomes real to us. It is then that we begin to experience success (Joshua 1:8)!
