117,95 kr. A gift of a journal was given to her as a graduation gift, but not feeling she could be a writer, the journal was placed on a shelf and forgotten for a while. However, the unexpected happened one day to author Candice Wilson, as she felt the urge to put pen to paper in her journal and write everything down: her thoughts, her feelings, and her perspective on the world, especially as a young, Black woman. Eighteen years later, she made the choice to share with the world these writings and her relationship with God, resulting in this book, In My Own Words: Thoughts From a Pretty, Brown Girl Who Loves the Lord. The poems and short stories depict the ever-changing experiences of the author, from struggles in understanding men and relationships to being socially aware as a Christian woman living in a fallen world. Ranging from comical to thought-provoking to heartfelt, Candice leaves everything on the pages as she opens up her heart and faith to readers. Her hope is that those reading her poems and short stories will be inspired to do the same, in picking up a journal and writing their thoughts to be shared with others. Writing can stir up others' faith and understanding of who God is; that He is a God of love and grace, not a genie who gives you anything you want in an instant. They may be Candice's own words written on paper, but they are the thoughts, emotions, passions, and beliefs that she shares with other brothers and sisters in Christ. Just as God created Candice special and with purpose, He has done the same for every one of us. Candice is a native New Orleanian whose interests and passions are quite diverse. Her interest in mathematical and health sciences are utilized in service to her alma mater, Xavier University of Louisiana, as an assessment director. Her passions for music, mentoring and dance are regularly on display at her church home, New Hope Baptist Church. Candice considers herself, not only a Christian, but a follower of Christ. She intends to continue documenting words of encouragement and life lessons to edify God's people. As Matthew 5:16 instructs, she will let her light shine before men for God's glory.

116,95 kr. Are you new to the Christian faith? Do you wish you could easily find the people, stories, events and places in the Bible that everyone talks about? Do you feel unsure when called upon to answer a Biblical question? Then this book is for you. It will give you an overview of Scripture to familiarize yourself with the overall layout and placement of the books. It will give you brief bios of many main characters along with the Scripture reference where they are found. It will give you summaries of events, places and things also with references. And, finally, it will give you an easy, yet comprehensive, guide on how to study the Bible, so that you can continue your wonderful journey to unlock the incredible truth found in God's Word. Author, Rich Jensen, came to trust in Christ later than most. Realizing his lack of Biblical knowledge, he felt led to write a book which would give anyone basic knowledge of Scripture. That idea took a back seat while he began writing devotionals which became the basis of his first book of devotionals, "WOW Weekly". After some years, he developed what would be the right format and content for "A Primer for New Christians". His hope is that it would foment a deep desire on one's part to continue studying Scripture.

143,95 kr. They were a hard-working family that wanted to make an honest living for themselves and their future generations; yet, for the Aplin family, their desire to live out the American Dream was anything but times of happiness. In the new book, Prey for the Enemy, author Annie Aplin recounts the tragic saga to befall her family when they took part in the seafood industry in small town, Seadrift, Texas. After a tornado devastated the family farm in Georgia, the Aplins and their eight children decided to enter the seafood industry in Florida. Noticing the seafood market was better in Texas, the family moved to Seadrift and saw their investment in the market thrive. That is until they dealt with the massive influx of Vietnamese fisherman after the fall of Saigon. Tensions continued as the family noticed, and even caught, the fisherman stealing out of the family's traps, but the struggle took a fatal turn when six fishermen shot and killed Annie's brother, Billy Joe, after he confronted them about their threatening actions toward the family. Six months later, after even more threats were sent to the family, Annie's sister and brother-in-law, Josie and Dale, turned up missing and were later found dead. One would think that such clear, malicious actions would be properly punished by the government, but the Aplin family found the opposite happen, as the local government said there was nothing they could do and the media portrayed their story with lies and deceit. Prey for the Enemy is Annie's call to action to the government and American citizens everywhere that what happened forty-one years ago, in 1979, shouldn't continue to happen today. Yet it still does, and Annie still fights for justice and change to happen for immigration laws and regulations so her family didn't die in vain.

- Discovering the Secrets, Keys and Promises of the Kingdom
166,95 kr. Do you have hope? What is it you hope for? Is your hope only for eternity, or do you have hope for your present day situations? Scriptural hope is a vehicle for becoming powerful sons of God, literally going fro glory to glory as we imitate the Son of God. Jesus also spoke about the promises, secrets, and keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. What did He mean? Do you have the keys? Do you know the secrets? Does it matter? The truth will come forth. Will you be the one to bring it or will you simply go along for the ride? The purpose of this book is to give you the tools to find the answers to these questions, not to provide you with the answers. Your discoveries will be personal, provocative, profound and powerful. As you unveil the secrets, keys and promises of the Kingdom of God, you will find hope for today and tomorrow within your purpose. Get ready. Your adventure is about to begin. Ricki Pepin, author of "God's Health Plan," is a wife, mother and grandmother. A former homeschool teacher to her children, she was introduced to the Principle Approach to education in 1991 and developed an enthusiastic vision to share this wonderful method of learning with as many people as possible. For more than 20 years she has lectured extensively in many locations and venues, including international television and radio. The topics have encompassed biblical health, the U. S. Constitution, and now what we all need: HOPE. Her focus is in teaching others how to deepen their relationship with their Creator as they search out the truth in whatever subject they are pursuing, thus, enriching themselves and making this world a better place for them and their great-great grandchildren. www.rickipepin.com

- A 50 Day Journey of Encouragement and Renewal
166,95 kr. Suffering is unfortunately something we must endure in this life, even if you are children of God. Suffering comes in all forms, from minor disappointment to major hardship, and no one is spared from it. Hardship was also part of author Damian's upbringing, growing up dealing with poverty, homelessness, and a father who wasn't there. Such situations could have anyone bitter about life and God. Even as a father he must continually wrestle with discouragement while raising a son with complex medical needs who requires full assistance for daily living. However, as he demonstrates in his new devotional, The Hope Challenge Devotional, suffering can actually lead to spiritual growth in a person, if he or she sees that God is there and leading them through the trial. This was made evident to him through the creation of this devotional, which he calls a "culmination of prayers, tears, lessons, and a refusal to give up." With the fifty days of devotional messages, Damian offers keen insight into ways the Bible shows us how to be uplifted in the midst of difficulties. Readers will see how we should view pain in ourselves and others, why it is important to learn from our mistakes, and the all-important understanding of why forgiveness is necessary, among other topics. Daily challenges are combined with the messages to prompt readers to take practical steps in putting theological understanding into their circumstances. Through this devotional, readers will find encouragement and renewal in their hope in God to help them overcome life's circumstances.

160,95 kr. This book or rather group of short stories/homilies are written from a viewpoint of how God has provided truth in the scripture to apply to the many situations that life presents and gives us guidance through pain, fear, failure and success. The reflections that play out in these stories show the truth of Gods promise to be with us and show Himself in life as it happens and that God is the breath and wisdom of our lives, not just a Sunday morning visit to a pew. In whatever we face and in whatever we experience, whether we view it as good and wonderful or painful and trying, God can be found directing us, counselling us and holding us upright in the journey. Jesus is the great friend and the Holy Spirit the great companion as we face the challenge of whatever fires are before us. Through addiction, trauma and life God has not altered, never given up on me and has been faithful to show himself through the greatest storms and during the greatest times of peace. Jesus is hope. Born in Austin Texas the youngest of 7 children I grew up in the central Texas area as the son of a roofer. - Only through Jesus
161,95 kr. With the tap running there is uncontrollable release because of the pressure from God. Burden of His grace, goodness, mercy, kindness, joy, blessings, peace, help, healing, strength, love etc. Whatever we want from the Father is given already. We just have to take, receive, and experience it. God is intentional in releasing everything good into our lives whether we like it or not, whether we accept it or not, whether we use it or not. He is still releasing it. There is constant supply of whoever and whatever God is and has. Supply is only cut off when there is a debt owed. For mankind there is no debt to pay. Jesus has already paid the debt for our sins forever. There will never be another debt to pay, ever. Therefore the supply running from the tap is constant. Linda Ozoemena, began her first eight years in the UK, before leaving for Nigeria. There life was new, but at times was bleak. However, it was in these times that the basis of many questions was formed, many of which began with, 'why'. Linda, at this point of questioning, had to believe and trust that there is something more to receive and give in life. With little left physically and mentally, Linda turned what remained of her hope in life towards God to satisfy her many questions. She has since developed in and recognised her relationship with God, which has led her to some of the most significant times in her life, including changing the narrative of her story. She writes to help readers understand and accept who they truly are, to begin living the exceedingly abundant lives, only through Jesus Christ. She says, we have been restored to the image and likeness of God, and to everything mankind had in the beginning of creation. She is peacefully married with two children.

173,95 kr. Has anyone ever told you that you were worthless, lazy or would never amount to anything? Human beings don't often realize the power of their words, but they are very powerful indeed. At times, our words can unintentionally scar people we love; other times, the attack is intentional. Even though, deep inside, we know these sharp words aren't true, it can be very hard not to internalize them. "You are worthless," quickly becomes, "I am worthless," and the more we think that way, the more likely we are to believe it. Regardless of what people say, the Bible tells us over and over again what God thinks of us, and His thoughts are full of love and hope. Learning to internalize these truths can undo the damage of negative talk and help us understand our true worth. That's what this book strives to do - undo the negative thinking we've picked up over time and replace it with healing promises from the Word. Jim is a new author who felt compelled to write a book documenting verses in the bible that confirm how much he and every one of us is loved by our Heavenly Father.

165,95 kr. From the Author of the Amazon Best Seller, "Biblical Proof Animals do go to Heaven." A daily devotional for pet loss. A book for healing and peace. Pet loss is real, and it is a life-changing event for many of us. We feel dark and empty from our loss, and we feel as though life has lost its meaning. These are gifts that many do not have. Our pets are family members and we become distraught on their passing. Many of us feel the loss of a pet much more than the death of a friend or family member and we wonder why. We don't understand why other people do not understand our grief from pet loss. We are left on our own to deal with this tragic loss. This book contains valuable tools, advise, and prayers to help you through the loss of a beloved pet. This book answers many questions you have about pet loss and its after-effects; how to cope with pet loss and all the emotions and feelings that come with the loss of a pet. - From Victim to Victory
213,95 kr. Mercy! What Was I Thinking? is the life story of a woman who experience abandonment issues, many cultures, religions and frightening abusive relationships. Many unwise decisions are made as a result of a dysfunctional family, and desperate attempts to escape unhealthy situations, especially from a very dangerous man. There are times of humorous events, times of heart rendering losses, sorrows, as well as consequences of decisions that should have (and could have) been avoided. The author would hope that this story would be a help to others who have endured similar trials and tribulations to avoid the same pitfalls. or at least make the necessary, course corrections to come out of situations in the wisest, safest way possible and end being the victim. Victory is finally achieved when there is acknowledgment, yielding and relying on God, "The Great Orchestrator in the sky." It helps to know God's love and how precious you are in his sight. I hope my mess will be a message of hope to all who read this. I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. I have been married to my husband thirty-eight years. I have four children and thirteen grandchildren. I live in the mountains of Colorado and love hiking in the beauty of God's creation. My website is a work in progress. I hope to get that operational soon.

- Take off the mask, now who are you?
164,95 kr. In Genesis 2:16-20 we examined how it all started. Adam and Eve were hiding from God after they disobeyed His commandment. In this book we examine the different mask people wear to conceal the truth about their lives. We not only challenge you to examine yourselves but also do something about the shortfalls you find after examination. Not only do people hide behind a mask but they hide behind their gifts. Gifts come without repentance. You may fall but your gift will still operate. In this book we talk about the Real You and the Other You. We talk about how to allow the Real You to remain in control of your life and how to bind the Other You. We will examine salvation, living saved, but not being delivered. Moses led millions out of Egypt but only a few from the original group that came out of Egypt crossed over into the promise land. Many were saved from Egypt but only a few were delivered into the promise land. I grew up in a small community in Mississippi called Pineville. I attended Pineville Missionary Baptist Church as a youth and received the best Christian foundation in the world. I left the Baptist Church to join Church of God where I was introduced to the Holy Ghost. I soon left the Church of God and joined the Church of God in Christ. Then the Ministry God had given me came into play as I moved through various independent churches. God has given my wife and I Kingdom Ministry, a ministry without walls and without denomination.

- Developing Your Identity in Christ
171,95 kr. I believe God speaks to us through dreams. These metaphorical images that visit us during sleep are messages of instruction, encouragement, and guidance. God uses dreams to communicate revelation and spiritual lessons like messages that help us become more like His son. Becoming like Christ takes active faith and persistent work, and as we master abiding in Him, we learn more about who we are and who we want to become. Through the interpretation of my dreams, I provide principles on how to cultivate a foundational relationship with Jesus so you can gain an awareness of who you are in Christ and how to live-out your identity when you choose Jesus. Ashley is a native of Halifax County, Virginia and was raised by her mother and sister. - A Short Allegorical Christian Tale Based on the life journey of the author
117,95 kr. This little book is a simple and short allegorical tale, a modern-day parable of a little donkey named Dolores. This autobiographical tale depicts the events the author has faced and lived through. From the beginning, Dolores' journey takes her through a lot of twisting paths, turns, and detours. Along the way there are a lot of losses of friends, school, culture, and language as a child. Then as an adult she loses her family after a divorce, work, her savings, and possessions. Through circumstances and lack of understanding by well-meaning adults, Dolores' is not given the opportunity to grieve and cry over each loss. Then Dolores is hit with the hardest loss of all, the death of her child. Dolores' tries to deal with her grief, but she is unaware that the unaddressed grief from previous losses has created emotional baggage in her soul and these bags are the root cause of physical pain. After the death of her daughter, Dolores' is led through more twisting paths and detours until she finally ends up in a "magical" forest where she meets angels who help her deal with all her unaddressed grief. With the help of these angels, Dolores' digs into her bags filled with emotional baggage and is given the chance to look over her life, cry over each loss, and discover treasures hidden deep in her bags. She also discovers that a Good and loving God gave her all the characteristics she needed to face everything in her journey and that her courage and strength, also knitted into her being by her Creator, helped her decision to intentionally develop a strong relationship with Him. This was Dolores' saving grace.

117,95 kr. God deals with us as individuals, which is a blessing. Each of us have a personal journey erected and designed by the hand of the almighty. However, his LOVE is universal, and encompasses everyone. Whether a believer or non-believer, positive or negative we all are benefactors of his LOVE. This book was written by him. It is not meant to be philosophical, religious, or psychological. He wanted basic clear communication to his readers. It is concise detail, which hopefully will compel the readers to reflect on their receiving of and submission to God's LOVE. I experienced a metamorphosis when I dared to accept that truth, he spoke to me that I had not LOVED my family, friends, and human beings with his LOVE. Yes, it was a shocker at first, but when I submitted to his governing his LOVE inside of me, and relinquished ownership of my heart and Love, I felt better spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. The result was a better me. The amazing part is I was not aware of my prior state until he revealed it to me. Therefore, I implore you as you read this book ask God to show you yourself through his eyes.

- My Grandfather's Life, 1891-1948, Based on True Events
174,95 kr. After years of hearing stories about my grandfather's disappearance, I began doing research into his life. Recently retired, I had the time, and there was nothing more important than possibly finding out what remained a mystery for over eight decades. It ended up being a very fascinating adventure, uncovering facts and tying together all the loose ends that unfolded before my eyes. I talked to folks in distant places, wrote to absolute strangers about my quest, and was amazed at the responses I received. Thrust into the lives of those who lived before my time, I developed visions of how it must have been to survive in what most people now refer to as "the past" or "back in the day." My findings became too precious to just file away somewhere without sharing them with my siblings, so I began to develop a story based on factual data. Then, one day it became even more intriguing when a young boy entered my life spiritually and inspired me to put forth more than the novel about my grandfather. It's all contained in this book that I'm happy to call "JINDRICH, The Baker." Growing up in a large family in Independence, Ohio, the author had a strong Catholic upbringing with values that still remain deep-seated. His graphic arts background spurred his creativity, and many years in sales gave him treasured knowledge of working with people. He and his wife of 54 years raised three sons in Southwest Florida, and they now reside in Northern Georgia. John attends St. Brendan Catholic Church and is his wife's right hand in leading the Garden Ministry there. He enjoys home improvement projects, playing tennis with his special needs son, Jimmy, and walking with his wife along the greenway close to their home.
