- A Forty Day Devotional for an Upside/Down World!
152,95 kr. "Angel Food Cake" (AFC), A Forty Day Devotional for an Upside/Down World is a Lenten style devotional with a fasting (Eschewal) component included. Structured so it can overlay the Lenten calendar, it may be utilized as a Lenten Devotional. But why pigeonhole your 40 day fasting efforts into Lent only, when you can use this beneficial spiritual practice now or during other seasons of the year? In our upside/down world, we often need to come to our senses. AFC helps us do that by connecting each daily scripture and devotion to one of our 5 physical senses. The 6th and full final week (Holy Week during Lent) is themed for insight or that of the Holy Spirit. Each week is concluded with reflective questions to stimulate discussion in a small group. Pilgrim readers may notice along the way mention of angels, whether it in Bible scripture or in the author's personal experience. We have them on our life's path and they are indeed heaven sent. When our relationship with Immanuel is strong, we notice angels often. Have a bite of AFC and "Taste and see that the Lord is good..." Psalm 34:8. Praying you are an angel on this path! Born in Akron, Ohio, at the age of 3 Brad's family moved to Miami, Florida. Formative years were spent in that tropical locale where his time around the waters of the Atlantic had great impact on his soul. He found himself landlocked in Chattanooga, Tn. in the ninth grade where he attended an all-boys military school. Providentially, the school is located on the Tennessee river which calmly flowed outside his dorm window. At the University of Georgia study in Mass Communication earned him an ABJ Degree with a major in Radio-TV-Film. During those college years he developed his penchant for writing. After graduating in 1974, he worked for a network TV affiliate in Daytona Beach, Fla. His proximity to NASCAR led to PR/Marketing positions in the racing industry which landed him in Charlotte, NC and then Atlanta, Ga. He has lived in metro Atlanta ever since. Brad's career has taken a detour or two, but he always finds himself writing for something or someone. Now his call as laity in the Church is to create content and extend the Gospel into our upside/down world. You can learn more about Brad and enjoy some of his writing at: thestandardchronicals.blogspot.com

125,95 kr. The story of - The Adventures of Mister Sock was inspired out of a real dilemma of a lost sock in my own dryer. Before I began writing this story in 1996, I had enrolled in cartooning classes at a local college. When it was completed, my husband and I were on a camping trip in Yosemite. My first test subjects were three children, 5-8 years old. I invited them to come and listen to a story, as we sat by the river-side. They were most attentive and loved the story. This completed manuscript has been sitting in a file since 1996. I read the story to a couple of adult friends who rejoiced with me in this creative adventure. Join with me in this adventure as you become intrigued in each chapter. Mister Sock's wanderings develop as this poor, lost and lonely sock gains greater courage, which develop with new challenging dangers through each chapter. Then, of course; everyone looks for a happy ending. May this story inspire you and your loved ones, young and old as you join in this delightful adventure.Margo Hastings has been an Ordained Minister of the gospel since 2007. Her passion and hunger for writing and teaching the gospel began many years ago. She gives all the glory to the LORD for creativity in all her writings. Each one was inspired by the Holy Spirit. She published her first book in 2009. And her second book in 2020. The second book was a combination of six years of biblical lessons and stories. These relay the unlimited value of looking to our Savior, and trusting Him in every life circumstance. I believe that the characters in this book could be used as a coloring book for any child who loves to color pages. I pray that everyone, young or old reading this newest children's adventure story will be blessed to find the joy of the LORD.

- Unpacking the Parables
208,95 kr. This book addresses thirty-four of the Parables Jesus taught. The Parables are showcased within the context and culture of the diverse peoples of Jesus' time. The lessons taught are timeless, appropriate for all people groups and cultures of every century because they address common attributes of all mankind and the eternal attributes of the Godhead, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Delving into the teachings of Jesus allows the reader insight into the wisdom he displayed, his understanding of human nature, his love for humanity, and his omniscient grasp of the workings of the enemy of our soul. The Parables demand critical thinking on the part of the readers as they assess their own lives and motivations in the light of Jesus' expectations. Carol P. - Heavenly Deposits, Multiplication, and Reserves of Heaven
173,95 kr. The Bible attests to the fact that God enjoys providing for His children, and that Jesus came to teach and demonstrate a life of supernatural provision. Author Bonita Bush has witnessed countless times and in numerous ways when God provided in the midst of impossible circumstances. Many dire or catastrophic circumstances were supernaturally invaded releasing the provisional blessings and demonstrated His love and care for us. Using the inspiration of seeing such miraculous provision, and receiving insight from Holy Spirit, she now shares in her new book, His Passion to Provide. Bonita begins with her own dire struggle, wondering how she would have food to eat the next day. Yet, as she prayed for God to provide for her needs, the Lord spoke to her heart, giving instruction ... and day after day she witnessed her refrigerator supernaturally never depleting. It changed her life! She further takes the reader exploring with insight and understanding of supernatural provision found in countless, biblical testimonies. With in-depth precision, she recounts Jesus feeding 1000's from a small boy's lunch of a few fishes and loaves, and expounds on many extraordinary miracles God performs today. She stresses the reality that Jesus has an absolute passion to provide for you with blessings overflowing! As Bonita continues to relate on the reserves of heaven and heavenly deposits, she teaches from experience and gives insightful solutions to the reader. Insight positions us with expectation for our provision to manifest again and again! Speaking to a generation grappling with recent, catastrophic events, moving into an uncertainty future with a shifting economy, and commerce being dictated in unfortunate ways, Bonita writes to give hope, solutions, and expectancy because of His love and His Passion to Provide. Bonita Bush was called to be a Glory Teacher by the audible voice of God. She lives in a fifthwheeler year around in WhiteClay, Nebraska. God opened this door for her so she can be on the borderline of Pine Ridge Reservation, home of the Oglala Sioux Tribe (OST). - God has a word for you... Yes, you!
505,95 kr. Reading through the 66 books of the Bible for 10-consecutive years; and the Spiritual Growth I experienced during the year 2019 is the basis for this memoir. I am convinced that in these last days: every child of God will need to make an intentional effort to listen for the voice of The Holy Spirit; to obey the voice of The Holy Spirit; and to walk daily with The Holy Spirit!!! For just as the Forerunner as recorded in Luke 1:17 (NASB) prepared the hearts of the people for the First coming of our Savior in the forerunner's days on earth: we who live in these last days must do our individual and collective part in preparing God's people for the Second appearance of our Savior. These last days as told by Scripture; and as illustrated by world events: provide an Eternal Testimony to the Supreme importance of the indwelling work of The Holy Spirit in every member of The Body of Christ. It is therefore my hope and prayer that this short memoir will serve as my Personal Testimony to The Holy Spirit; and that all who read this short memoir will receive a Rhema Word from The Holy Spirit!!! Melvin J. Pruitt was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and since childhood, he has maintained a profound interest in the Word of God. His passion for God's Word has resulted in a call to write. Melvin previously worked in healthcare for over 20 years and is a retired Family Nurse Practitioner. He also served in The United States Navy for over 25 years and is a retired Naval Officer. Melvin currently resides in Katy Texas, and he is the father of one adult son.

- A Case for Intelligent Christian Faith
171,95 kr. Researchers tell us that in recent years there has been a growing skepticism in America concerning the validity of many of Christianity's cherished doctrines. The fact is that twenty-first century Christians find themselves living in a time when religious dogma is felt by many to be irrational and to be held in low esteem. In light of this, a crucial question for the Christian community is: Can we retain our moorings in traditional Christian beliefs and still remain in relevant contact with the modern world and reasonable faith? This book gives a resounding "yes" to that question and offers thoughtful interpretations of traditional beliefs that rationally address the struggle with faith and doubt that many are experiencing. Harvey West is a native of Georgia and an elder in The United Methodist Church. After serving congregations for over fifty years as a pastor in the North Georgia area, including time on the bishop's cabinet as superintendent of the Augusta District, he retired from the itinerant ministry to write this book. Dr. West holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Georgia State University, a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University's Candler School of Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. He lives with his wife, Charlyn in Roswell, Georgia.

- When you GET WITH GOD, you'll get to know YAH!
769,95 kr. Within this book, I will be uncovering the secret to deliverance and the power received after it's obtained. After dealing with a traumatic event, deliverance from sadness, defeat, hopelessness, and misunderstanding is necessary. Certain types of trauma trigger a negative response to our soul, and bringing positivity back to every area can be challenging. Sitting with the trauma on our hearts without looking towards a brand new start will eventually lead us to a place that's very dark. Approximately 20 years ago, I was delivered to that very dark place, and it took me many years before I realized where I was. The autism diagnosis of my firstborn caused me to believe that there was no hope for my future. It was a heart-wrenching experience, but everything changed once I decided to return to my first love. My life has never been the same, and through God's love, I was empowered to share my journey. I've been delivered from a land fueled by sorrow so that I could live in a land prosperous through His power. Through my story, you will uncover the rich benefits delivered to those who decide to Travel. Regardless. Ascending. Upwards. Managing. Anguish. I AM a child of The Most High God and He is better known to me as my ABBA, Father. I AM a follower of His Son, Jesus Christ who I also refer to as Yeshua HaMashiach. I AM a vessel that is filled with the Holy Spirit, also known as the Ruach Hakodesh. I AM a woman who was put on earth to be about my Father's business by continuing in the work of my Lord and Savior. I AM Fatima Talibah, and I can also be recognized as the daughter of a prophet and a seeker of knowledge.

- The Bride of Christ in Old Testament Typology
206,95 kr. Secrets of the Brides is a provocative study in typology which will introduce readers to the inner dimensions of Scripture. Typology was the predominant method of study in Jesus' day. Rabbis applied four levels of study to the Word of God. They are peshat (the simple meaning of the text), remez (allusion to something more), derush (inference and application) and sode (secrets). This book applies these principles to explore the accounts of seven biblical brides and their bridegrooms. Their lives were living allegories performed under the careful orchestration and gaze of the Holy Spirit and their stories are laced with prophetic codes for the Bride of Christ. From the first chapters the reader will be progressively led out of the shallows into deeper more complex revelations buried in the etymology of the Hebrew words, the Feasts of the Lord, the Millennial Week and the book of Revelation. The casual reading of the stories of these brides is like viewing the tip of an iceberg. It is beautiful on the surface of the water, but underneath that shining tip the enormity of its foundation sitting there in the deep stillness invokes a disquieting reverence. This book will introduce those who have not been exposed to the beauty of the types to another satisfying and exciting level of hermeneutics and interpretation. The investigative journey will not ask the student to subscribe to a certain eschatological scenario but will cause him to reconsider how he relates to the Word of God and how he worships its author. The author has been a student and teacher of Old Testament and Hebraic Studies for three decades. She waits for the midnight call in Texas with her husband of thirty - nine years, her two children, their spouses and six grandchildren. Maranatha!

- A quirky perspective of a cherished life
325,95 kr. I invite you back to a simpler time, a time of innocence and faith, a time when Big Tech did not rule life. Whether you are of "vintage age" and wish to reminisce about the days of yore, or you are a Millennial curious about the horrors your elders were made to suffer growing up without tech toys, take this journey with me that promises to offer a quirky perspective on everyday joys and sorrows experienced from birth through young adulthood; there is so much humor and irony in life, if you just open your eyes to it. I was born in Kansas while my dad was attaining his master's at University of Kansas; having been born in the married student's housing, I am a true Jayhawk by birth! Our family settled in suburban Chicago, where I grew up and I enjoyed informal art endeavors, reading, archery, and had as many animals as I could possibly get my parents' permission to have. Our local high school put a heavy emphasis on the arts and, having that propensity already, pushed me further in that direction. Although I eventually put the art materials down, I turned to writing, and have found it to be an equally satisfying creative outlet throughout the years. My mother's sudden passing made me appreciate that life is short, and that if I had something to say to the world, I needed to get on it and do it; this book is the result of that realization. Currently I spend half my time in Chicago where I work as an office manager for an architectural engineering firm; the balance of my time is spent with my daughter, two dogs, four cats and a rabbit in Indiana, where I enjoy watching and feeding the wildlife on our wooded acreage.

133,95 kr. The eternal purpose of God was formulated in the heart of God before time began and will ultimately be fulfilled at the completion of the ages. God created the heavens, earth and man to accomplish this purpose. Man was created part earth (dust) and part heaven (the breath of God bringing the life from heaven into man). The eternal purpose of God was to join heaven and earth together in oneness through man (Ephesians 1:9,10; 3:11). Man was created to function in God's spiritual dimension in order to fellowship and communicate with Him, to understand His mind and heart in everything. The very breath of God-in His image-formed the moral and spiritual composition of man. Dust has no virtue or moral traits of it's own. It was the breath of God breathed into man that formed these capacities. The six days of creation unfolds the environment for the addition and advancement of life and is the chronology of the development of the eternal purpose of God. The unfolding circumstances of God's working in the first creation reveal an elaborate word picture of His parallel working in the new creation. Man's fall into sin did not catch God off guard, His plan included redemption to restore man to fellowship with Himself and introduce man into His new creation. The Lamb slain before lambs were created. Sin put away before it entered the human circumstance, and your name written in the book of life before you were born; all planned and completed in the heart of God from the foundation of the world. What a marvelous author the Bible has: His plan stated in the first chapter, even the first verse of the Bible and completely fulfilled in the very last chapter with details interspersed throughout its pages hidden in a mystery. The author lives with his wife in Georgia. They have been married for fifty-two years and are the parents of twelve children, twenty-six grand children and one great grandson. All of their children were home schooled over a period of twenty-six years. Both parents were active early in the home school movement and were strong advocates of home education.

179,95 kr. This is 1 of 12 PRACTICAL GUIDES New believers share about the first year of a unique, but revolutionary community of faith, a nondenominational, non-sectarian gathering of GOD'S children, designated "CHRISTIANS IN HOPE." These COMMON FOLKS saw themselves much like their NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS (whether Christian or not) who experience struggles and defeats in life. While this ministry was originally a HOUSE CHURCH AROUND A DINING TABLE, the dynamics are equally inspiring for SMALL GROUP MINISTRIES within more TRADITIONAL CONGREGATIONS. The Author, a Missionary, Church-Planter, Evangelist and Pastor, led THE INTERNATIONAL MISSION, where his Team shared the GOSPEL five days and evenings each week in New York City's WORLD TRADE CENTER and at the UNITED NATIONS CHURCH CENTER. His rich experience with SMALL DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS helped develop small groups within churches and helped form and lead a dynamic HOUSE CHURCH which converted and discipled many to "MATURITY IN CHRIST."

210,95 kr. An island in the ocean that cannot be found. Sounds like a quiet place. Does that make it the best place to hide what you do not want to be discovered, whether it be good or bad, because once there the "hidden item" may never be seen again? Of course, that would be impossible. A place like "the island" becomes an active war zone with slaves, new weapons, and experimentations being treated like the norm. Secrets are so deep...no one knows why they are fighting each other, and the ones who do, are just the ones forged from...the Conflict...and trying to escape its unhealthy diet. I have seen many come and go; and wondered, if I would join them or become another hidden item...I suppose I have... L. A. Williams started writing at 16. Most of what he was doing at the time was perfecting his craft, trying to find the right blend of storyline and content for the readers. He selected to stick with Science Fiction as his primary way to tell his stories.

206,95 kr. I grew up knowing and loving God and Jesus. Some storms (trials) came up in my life and I turned away from the Lord. I became homeless and suffered from addictions; my life was full of sin. I suffered with the guilt and pain from my past, and panic attacks. My life was a mess, so I sought the Lord. I cried out to the Lord in my pain, He answered my prayers. Jesus has completely changed my life; the change was so drastic in me. I wanted people to know that Jesus can change their lives. I prayed and asked the Lord for the words to speak to tell people about Him. He answered my prayer and has produced through me this Scripture book. This Scripture book has Scripture arranged in orderly sequence to explain the prophecies, and birth of Jesus, the death and resurrection, ascension, and enthronement of Jesus at the right hand of God. God has given us a free gift of eternal life through believing in His Son Jesus. We are so blessed to have such an amazing loving Savior who we can come to know personally as a loving merciful King, brother, Friend, Provider, Healer, Helper, and strong Tower. You will come to know that God is a loving God who you can know personally as a loving Father. You will learn that God and Jesus and their holy Angels are watching over you. It is such an honor and privilege to share this message with you. I am praying for you, and will continue to pray and ask that God will touch your life through His beautiful Son Jesus. She is a wife and a mother of 2 toddlers. She began writing just before the covid 19 virus struck the world and was inspired to share her life with you to show the power of God and help those who want to experience freedom in a world where freedoms are being gradually taken away. She shares childhood tragedies and eventually triumph to compel readers to find triumphs in their own growth, where ever that may be in their current life. 128,95 kr. This is a book of short stories that happen when I was a nurse. Some are funny and some can be heartbreaking. But God is in every story and every life. God blessed me with the knowledge to take care of these patients. Luanne Vinson MA BSN NCPS CPSS I was born in Oak Ridge Tennessee but moved to South Carolina when my dad was stationed at Fort Jackson, so I spent the rest of my life in South Carolina. And God called me into Nursing at a very young age. I became an LPN in 1981 and an RN in 1984. For 33 years God allowed me to step into people's lives. I saw life begin and life end and it was both a privilege and an honor for my patients to let me into their lives. God had called me into nursing, but I was also a Firefighter and EMT for five of those years. I now work as a National Peer Support Specialist with Mental Health America of South Carolina. I was also instrumental, along with my friend Cindy Krell, in starting a "Drop-In" center for those with a mental illness called the Connection Center. 211,95 kr. A RELIGIOUS FANTASY is about a Catholic boy, a senior in high school, who prays one night to God to help him find out more about 'angels' for an English essay he has to write. When he fell asleep his Guardian Angel woke him up and asked him if he'd like to go on a 'journey' through the Bible where angels appeared in. The boy thought the possibility of that sounded outrageous but the Angel could tell he was interested, so off they went and it took him several episodes before he finally did realize it was not just a dream but real. The first journey was on 'angels', but then a few days later the angel took him on another journey following Peter and Paul, then a third journey on the Crucifixion of Christ. By this time, the boy realized God was calling him to become a priest, so he entered a Seminary in Rome, Italy, and the boy had the desire to form a new religious organization and would call it "Catholics Making Bridges Between Countries and Religions" (CMBBCR) where 'settlements' of mostly lay-people lived not only among poor groups of people, but also among non-Christian groups all over the world. Their mode of spreading the Good News would be by 'attraction' not by 'proselytizing'. C.L. Fire is a 'retired' lady who has had an interest in 'writing' for many years. She was first interested in writing screenplays, then turned to writing various types of stories. She loves to travel and has visited several countries and lived in a one foreign country for several months She is an avid reader and loves her God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), all the Angels and Saints...and feels very blessed to have been born a Catholic Christian. She encourages anyone who has a desire to 'write' to put the pen to paper, or fingers to the keyboard and start...

- Reflections on the 20th Anniversary of 9/11
299,95 kr. This book describes the experiences of an Army chaplain who officiated at the first two Memorial Services conducted in the Pentagon after 9/11, and his support to the survivors. On this 20th anniversary year of 9/11, this book seeks to honor and remember those who died on that day, while also honoring and remembering the fallen heroes from all of America''s wars. This book is a call for America: to never forget the over a million fellow Americans who died for their country; and to encourage today''s overworked "all volunteer" military. Stories are included from Chaplain Jenkins service in Iraq, on the staff of General Martin Dempsey, and from his tenure as the Rear Detachment chaplain for the 82nd Airborne Division. With the 82nd, Chaplain Jenkins officiated at over one hundred services for fallen paratroopers. The book traces the struggles, and eventual breakthroughs, of native Americans, Afro Americans, Japanese and Chinese minorities in relationship to military service. Against major barriers, heroic service and sacrifice are seen from these groups. Various vignettes of military heroes, from the 19th century until the present, are described, as a reminder for America to be grateful for the sacrifices of her military. BIOChaplain (Colonel) (Ret.) Joel Jenkins and his wife, Donna, reside in Charlottesville, VA. Joel retired from Fort Bragg, NC in 2011, with 27 years of service. His service included active duty, along with National Guard and Army Reserves service. He also pastored churches in NC and Virginia. Highlights of his military career include officiating at the first Memorial Services in the Pentagon following 9/11. He served a year in Iraq on the staff of General Martin Dempsey as the Command Chaplain for MNSTC-I. His final position was the Rear Detachment chaplain for the 82nd Airborne Division.
