Carole Shannon teaches secondary education with the N.Y.C. school system. Carole is a native of Atlantic City, New Jersey. She is a visual artist and resides in Brooklyn, N.Y. She received her B.A. from Stockton State College and M.F.A. from Pratt Institute of Brooklyn, N.Y. Her work has been on exhibit at the Broome, Horizon, Rutgers, and A.C., N.J. galleries. My life seemed of no particular use. I did not fit in well with my fellows around me. Over time I decided, rather than try to alter myself, I would try to alter my surroundings.
