- Poetry from Evesham (Asum) and the Vale
120,95 kr. This collection includes poems about growing up in Evesham, picking all the fruit & vegetables & working the land.Others tell of Evesham's history & the changes over time & reach out around the Vale &up to the present day.It was out in the Vale's fields & orchards that I first heard & learnt the local dialect known as 'Asum Grammar'. This is very much my own version of it & is included to capture & appreciate the local dialect before it disappears.

- Poems and Prose of the Vale of Evesham Countryside and Beyond
99,95 kr. 'A journey through a year, a life, an area. As seen through my window on the world.'This is a further collection of verses about local places, people and events in the Vale of Evesham and further afield. They have triggered these responses, some immediate, some years later. The wonders of Nature continue to inspire me as well as John Clare, the Northamptonshire poet and Richard Jefferies, the Wiltshire writer. May I never tire of them. I hope that they and I can bring you a brief respite from today's mad world and some pleasure also.

- Poems of the Countryside and the Seasons
99,95 kr. Having been born & brought up in Evesham I obviously have a special affinity for the Vale & it's countryside.I have spent many happy hours walking the country lanes & footpaths, enjoying the local flora & fauna, the landscape& scenery & the people living in it. This is my attempt to describe my feelings for the area & it's wildlife. It has been influenced by two special literary figures from the past. Richard Jefferies, the Natural History writerfrom Coate in Wiltshire & John Clare, the " Peasant Poet " from Helpston in Northamptonshire. How I found these two I don't know, but they have also proved a constant source of inspiration to me. I hope they would approve of my attempts to bring my feelings of the wonders of Nature to a wider audience.
