Adding an interesting depth to each of these troubled couples, the reader is given a periodic peek into the characters' subconscious wanderings -- whether in their dreams or other comparably relaxed states. These "learning" experiences remain unknown to each character's waking mind, but allow the reader to have a certain insight into their personalities and present some interesting possibilities to ponder. All in all, SOUL SURVIVOR is a very timely book reflecting reality as it now exists, together with certain speculation as to our minds' untapped reservoir of what one might call.
