It is never too late, and you are never too old to begin your journey with the Qur'an. Make a change today. Learn how to recite it, ponder on it and put it into action. Learning how to recite the Qur'an with Tajweed rules will help you to connect to the Book of Allah, and you will find your life blossoming and your heart at peace. Aishah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur'an will be with the honorable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur'an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have a double reward." Al-Bukhari and Muslim. This book cannot replace reciting to and being corrected by a qualified teacher of Tajweed. Instead, it is a guide and an aid in understanding the concept of Tajweed. The application can only be refined by recitation and correction. The clarity and effectiveness of the methodology used in this book make Tajweed an enjoyable and beneficial experience for both children and adults. We ask Allah (SWT) to make us of those who recite and benefit from His Book, giving it its due rights. And we ask Allah (SWT) to make it a driver for us to Jannah (Paradise). Souad Mhani is obtaining a professional ljazah in the Qur'an and in the Ten Qira'at according to the Shatebia and Dorra methods, as well as Tayyebah method with a chain of narrators going all the way back to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Call of the Kookaburra is the third and final book in a series following several British convict women who were transported to Australia in the 19th century. Sent to a country with a harsh climate and environment, different in every way from what was familiar, the story relates how these women survived when they were uprooted from their homeland. Friendship grew among three women who were very different in background and temperament. Louise was from a middle-class background and was well educated. Lucy is sensitive and fearful. Peggy was born in a slum and is shrewd and streetwise. Yet all three became united under the teaching of the well-known Quaker prison reformer, Mrs Elizabeth Fry. This third book continues from A Shining Path. It begins in Bath, England, with Peggy's wedding in Bath Abbey, where she marries a French aristocrat. The emphasis then shifts to Jane Bell, one of Peggy's bridesmaids. Jane is not a convict but had been sent to New South Wales by her father, a vicar, because she was an embarrassment to the family. In the small school where she is posted, Jane gets involved with the headmaster and becomes pregnant. She doesn't tell him before he returns to England, although they become engaged the day before he sails. Jane is spared the scandal of having an illegitimate baby when her son is adopted at birth by Louise, who is now married to an officer who owns a farm outside Sydney.(About the Author)Elaine Blick was born in Salisbury, England, and moved with her parents to New Zealand when she was five. A retired schoolteacher, the author now lives in a small beach community. This is her thirteenth book.

Advances in Overcoming Obesity: Is There a Future for Bariatric Surgery? by retired surgeon Tom Taylor comprehensively addresses many of the causes, complications, and treatments of obesity for the lay public. Despite billions of dollars per year being spent on diets, weight-reducing products, and techniques, few understand the fundamental nature of the problem, its complications, or the strategies available to overcome obesity. These challenges may recently have been radically changed with the emergence of new effective medications, not only for obesity, but for diabetes and other related health problems. Dr. Taylor tackles the issues of energy intake and expenditure, while describing in detail the most popular diets, such as the South Beach Diet and Weight Watchers. He also explores the psychological and physical constraints of losing weight, related socio-economic factors, and the different types of surgical treatments and their possible effects, outcomes, and complications. Although large amounts of weight can be lost following surgical treatment, for the first time ever, a group of drugs is now available that has been shown to also provide large weight loss, thereby presenting a challenge to surgical treatments.(About the Author)Dr. Tom Taylor has performed over 1,000 weight-loss surgical procedures, but was always concerned about the risks facing this vulnerable group of patients. There may now be alternative methods that are potentially safer than and as effective as major surgery.

Islamic history is replete with cyclical eruptions of radical Islam. One example: the Muslim Brotherhood, is an Islamic organization that was founded in 1928 in Ismailia, Egypt, as an Islamist religious, political, and social movement. It was begun in reaction to attempts to reform Islam by the great reformers and modernizers of the early 20th century, beginning with Afghani and Abdu. Each time an Islamic eruption took place, it resulted in violence, since the Westernized Muslims usually refused to step back and revert to be shackled by traditional Islam. The frequency of the recurrence of these waves of fundamentalism in our time is shown in the cases of ISIS, Hizbullah, Hamas, Al-Qa'ida, and Boko Haram. The international turmoil these groups have caused by their recourse to violence has occurred on all continents. This violence has posited more bluntly than ever before the question whether Islam will finally reconcile to the idea of modernization and moderation, or if it will persist in its rebellious ways that are encouraged inter alia by prevailing Wokeism moods. (About the Author)Raphael Israeli has taught Islamic, Chinese, and Middle Eastern history at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. A graduate of Hebrew University in history and Arabic literature, he earned a Ph.D. in Chinese and Islamic history from the University of California, Berkeley. Now retired, he has been a Fellow of the Harry Truman Research Institute at Hebrew University and the Jerusalem Center since the1970s. He is the author of over 90 books and 100 articles.

Religion Between Commercialization and Political Trade-offs: The Case of Islam marks the author's 100th published book. This volume is the product of a conference on Commercialization of Religion convened jointly by the Universities of Vienna and Nicosia, and held in Nicosia, Cyprus, in September 2023, where author Raphael Israeli spoke about Islam."I challenged the conventional wisdom, which posited a material and pecuniary interpretation of commercialization of religion in terms of buying and selling deals, but I suggested to expand that interpretation into a wider trade-off of values, assets, and political interests, and I gave examples of those deals of commercialization within the Arab-Israeli dispute, including the horrifying rampage and murder on October 7, 2023, by the Palestinian Hamas terrorists of over 1,500 Israeli innocent civilians, including babies, the elderly, and women at dawn in their beds, and abducting another 240 as hostages to Gaza."(About the Author)Raphael Israeli has taught Islamic, Chinese, and Middle Eastern history at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. When fantasizing about what we want to be when we grow up, it's rare to choose to become a driver in any other capacity than racing, but I chose this as a way to make some quick cash.I never imagined I would love driving people from place to place. In six and a half years, I gave over 10,000 rides, met more than 30,000 people, and moved from the glamour and glitz of San Francisco, California, to the snow-capped mountains in the high desert of New Mexico.I saw things most people only dream about, met interesting people from the rich and famous to the criminal element, and turned my back on those who wanted to use my car for more than a ride. Two greatest fears became reality. I had to decide whether to drive my car off a mountain or succumb to the intimidations of a passenger bent on mayhem. I learned early on that if I was going to survive as a driver, I had to develop "Rules." But rules are no good when you have to ask your passengers, "Are You Going to Kill Me?"I've had my life threatened by a psychopathic murderer, a machete-wielding nut case, and a series of dangerous, wild animals. In the end, I wouldn't change a second of the ride.(About the Author)An Oregon native, Erin Allen started driving for a taxi replacement company in San Francisco, California, and ended up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she now lives with her dog Dakota. "I was a Realtor, but lost my desire to sell real estate after being scammed. I didn't know what I wanted to do, so I just kept driving."

"If it weren't for the pipe, I might have thought it a dream. But whenever I hold the pipe, it all comes back to me, and I know that everything we experienced was real and happened the way we remember. We who were inside the mountain, choose not to speak of it aloud, simply because it is too sacred to share, even with loved ones. Who can truly understand until one has traveled to the unseen worlds, so close and yet invisible to those without sight?" It began as a vision: a young boy on horseback galloping freely across the prairie, long, black hair unbound. Looking directly at me, he winks, a sign that his story will follow. What unfolded is a profound journey, a story shared now with you. Meet Luce, a spunky Manhattan lawyer, her bestie, Suzanne Whitaker, Roy Rogers, the elusive Harley riding Native cowboy, White Owl Hooter, Raven, the Sojan peoples from Middle Earth, an encoded gold nugget, the soul of a sacred mountain in South Dakota, Forest Dwellers, Kris from the Pleiades, Kent and Red, and numerous unusual wisdom keepers. Embedded within the story is the egregious history of Native Americans after their land was stolen, their way of life nearly destroyed. People whose wisdom is now sought because we must radically shift our relationship to our only home, planet earth. (About the Author) Soul of the Mountain is Leah Chyten's third novel. Leah is a psychologist, spiritual teacher, and grandmother. She lives by the ocean in Portland, Maine.

Ludwig van Beethoven was performing before the public at the age of seven. By the time he was 12 years old, this child prodigy composed and published his first work for the piano. Beethoven's father was an alcoholic, so the young boy was at times the financial support for his family, including his beloved mother, with whom he had a very close relationship. By the time of his death in 1827, Beethoven had composed nine symphonies and was completing his tenth. Despite his family and health problems, this man is responsible for much of the music we enjoy today in nearly every musical venue and interpretation. Mandie Garcia has written a stunning biography about this musical genius that depicts Beethoven's life, his struggles and how he overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles to become one of the greatest composers in history. Included in her narrative is an opportunity to learn a new word on each page. This educational and personal account of the man, the musician, and the genius will inspire everyone, especially young readers, to pursue and realize their dream. It's time for God's people to stop feeling hopeless and to start being encouraged. Being Encouraged by Your Knowledge and Understanding of God's Word will show you how people in the Bible, who were just like you and me, faced seemingly insurmountable problems, yet God brought them through. You will learn the secret to walking in God's favor so He can do the same for you. Believe that God is always listening to you, watching over you, and He always answers prayers. The key to getting God's promises manifested in your life is gaining knowledge and understanding of God's word. Once you gain this knowledge and understanding, you will find yourself being encouraged and your hope renewed, because you will start to see God moving for you. The theme running throughout the Bible is that God's promises are conditional. Even though salvation is free, it still requires faith and obedience. These are the same requirements needed for answered prayers. If you prayerfully read God's word, you will learn what God expects from you so He can answer your prayers according to His Will. (About the Author)Dr. Janice Walker, JD, DMin, ThM, is the founder and CEO of Reviving Hope Ministries, Inc. and Reviving Hope Sober Living, LLC, and the radio and TV podcast host of "Reviving Your Hope." The first time Augie Bautista saw Paul Allen, he was sliding out of the back seat of a big green Buick. The car was like nothing Augie had ever seen in the small Midwestern town of Endicott. Paul was a snobby rich kid with a smirk that went for miles. Paul's arrival turns Augie's life upside down, introducing him to a mysterious evil specter that serves its master in exacting revenge. Who is the man in the trench coat and fedora? Does he wield a mysterious power from another world, or is he merely an expression of human intent? With only his wits and his best friends to guide him, Augie confronts a force he does not understand. The actions he takes to protect his friends and family will ultimately decide the kind of man he will become. The Price of Vengeance is a coming-of-age story that asks why we choose love over hate, vengeance over forgiveness, and truth over lies. Cultural Criticism, Philosophy"The loss of wider purpose in our cosmology is no technical deficit. Though we loathe nostalgia of all kinds, and history does not run backwards, nevertheless we feel a deeper absence, even to the point of the encounter with the 'abyss of meaning.' Gazing into it, however, we find after all that it cuts both ways; there is an absence of ultimate order and meaning, no primer at the outset, no summa upon completion, but there is, almost instead and in its stead, a plethora of meanings, from which each of us can gather the glinting sheaves of meaningfulness. And if it was doubt that first fulminated against goal, against the telos of thought and of life besides, we have retrieved the question as our unique manner of understanding this condition, both meaningful for us and meaningless for the universe." (From the book's introduction.)"In his fifth book of collected critical essays, social philosopher G.V. Loewen, the writer with the most breadth and volume of any in his generation, asks a series of related questions. Why are we seeing an uptick in internecine social violence? What are the factors involved in decoying us from our authentic selves? How are these politically manipulated? And why are many of us so taken with the idea that selfhood is something to be shunned rather than lived? Yet these most serious contemporary topics are handled with wit, verve, and a directness of prose that will engage even the most passive of readers. With titles such as 'The Lap Dancing Drag Queen of Oz,' 'The Trouble with Tribal,' 'Bring me the "head" of Sergio Garcia,' and 'The Ballot and Bullet Ballet,' the themes of Investigations, Insights, Indictments will strike you as both immediate and enduring." - Avinash Pillay, COO of Vigilance Digital Media
