Author Thomas Mc Williams and his wife were no exceptions to that reality. Over the years, they gained many valuable insights about helping their daughter cope with the trials and challenges that often crop up when farewell orders arrive. The author, with eloquent and heartfelt input from his daughter, shares about the challenges they faced and how they came to terms with them. He also offers his insights on navigating through the issues that are unique to families involved in Christian ministry.

123,95 kr. The seventy words that comprise the Lord's Prayer provide us not only with a perfect model for conversing with our Creator but a blueprint for living in God's will. The prayer, taught by Christ to his disciples, informs us of an abundance of what we need to know about our faith and what it means to live in true fellowship with God. Alan Gonzalez examines the Lord's Prayer line by line and invites us into a challenging and thought-provoking examination of God's sovereignty, his love for us and how we need to respond to him. The author shows us how the Lord's Prayer addresses the issues and trials common to all believers as they journey through life toward a deeper and richer relationship with God. 133,95 kr. Festshrift - "a collection of writings published in honor of a scholar." While that is the normal definition of festschrift, this book offers much more. Dr. Bill Ury has enjoyed a distinguished career as an academic, preacher and theological leader throughout his life. e son of missionaries, early on he caught the spirit of service and deep, abiding love of God, fully giving himself to the Lord for His glory. Along the way, he poured himself not only into his work but his family and countless students, associates, members of his congregation and Salvationists. e title of the book, Holy Love, has been the theme of his life. Each essay is more than a tribute to Dr. Ury by offering a challenge to readers to consider the implications of Triune Holy Love for all areas of Church thought and our personal lives. The Wesleyan emphasis on holiness is not sectarian but is a valid expression of truth deep within Christian tradition. Holiness is entering into the life of the Holy One. Rev. Diane Ury is married to Dr. Ury and serves together with him as National Ambassador for Holiness with The Salvation Army in the United States.

- Set the Captives Free
128,95 kr. As daughters of the King we have full access to the riches of our Father's Kingdom to enjoy on this earth. Satan tries to convince us we are nothing more than orphaned slave girls with a fairytale royal birthright in an imaginary kingdom. Enslaved by fear, we become Barefoot Cinderellas who live more like paupers than princesses. Susie Erickson sweeps away the crumbs from your lap at the orphan's table and leads you to your seat of honor at the King's table. As she pours you a cup of tea, she tells you a great secret to see you through the trials this life has to offer. Timeless truths flow as a refreshing drink of freedom to anyone held in captivity by fear.

113,95 kr. This book is intended to help every reader of its pages into the immediate enjoyment of Bible holiness. Its writer is an officer of The Salvation Army who, having a gracious experience of the things whereof he writes, has been signally used of God, both in life and testimony, to the sanctifying of the Lord's people, as well as in the salvation of sinners. I commend him and what he as here written down to every lover of God and His kingdom on the earth. I joyfully add that the perusal of some of the papers which follow has been abundantly blessed to my own heart, and that I have no doubt but that the Hold Spirit has instructed and influenced the writer. - W. Bramwell Booth

128,95 kr. This book takes a close (but by no means exhaustive) look at the major portions of Acts and challenges Salvationists to apply the principles found in those passages to their lives. The first part of the book, Take Your Place, focuses on the opening chapters of Acts, in which the people of God "take their place" after Jesus ascends and the Holy Spirit descends. The second section, Unite ... Move ... Love, describes how the early church became a "Church of Steel" that was "united" in mission, kept "moving" the Gospel forward, and "loved" others because of God's love for them. The final section, Stay the Course, relates the story of Saul, who became the Apostle Paul, and how he "stayed the course" to do his part in carrying the Gospel to the "ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8) In every section, I look not just at the text and what it means but also how the text can be applied to our lives.
