The Necessaries: Stories is a collection of short tales that will introduce readers to a group of characters you can't help but fall in love with as they live outrageously through what we all do only to come out the other end with a better view of that which truly holds importance, to them.

What makes us unique? What do we hold dear to our hearts? We all have things, talents, and traits that help make us special and stand out from everyone else. However there are things that may define us as a person that other may not know about, even if they see us everyday. Following my first project for The 100 Series and third overall, "100 Days of Awesome People," I was overwhelmed by the positive reception I had received from the Quad Cities community. I knew I wanted to continue to highlight everyday people with incredible stories, but I wanted to do it in a completely different way. For this project I asked 100 people to find an object that has sentimental value and share why they chose that item and why it holds so much significance in their lives. The goal is to show off that uniqueness and individuality and help people in the Quad Cities connect with those who live with them in this community. I appreciate every single man, woman, and child I met with for sharing some of the most meaningful, thoughtful, and sometimes heartbreaking stories that have gone to define them as people. If I learned one thing from doing this project it's that it's difficult to dislike someone when you learn what makes them tick. This project, called 100 Shades, began its initial run on February 6, 2017 and ended on June 25, 2017.

Ryan Buynak is an 18th Century Gentleman who has been thawed out and is now alive and writing books in the 21st Century. He wrote this book in a day. He may have been born in the humidity soaked streets of Orlando, Florida, but he was baptized by the harsh sewers of the underbelly of New York City, and Montreal made him a happy bastard saintly poet with a place to escape.

In this cerebral collection, Avila touches on growth, love, emotion, and finding her true self. Stumbling upon her namesake, A Fellow Outcast, came not as a great epiphany, but rather as a working through the struggles and triumphs one does, the very emotions she very eloquently expresses in this unique collection of poetry. Avila's follow-up to Hellbound Angel, this poetry collection touches on the light and the dark.

Hellbound Angel follows Leila, the anti-hero, and her gang of friends as they say goodbye to their home: demon infested San Jose, and attempt to traverse an apocalyptic version of California in hopes of reaching salvation in Caelo, Oregon. But where salvation from the physical is found, harm on the soul is too. The effects of running toward those who so easily discarded her as an infant causes Leila's emotional state to swiftly deteriorate. Her human persona, the one she wears as a mask to hide the beast pacing inside, slips away more often. Rage - boiling in the depths of her, awaiting its chance to rise up and strike - slides to the forefront at the slightest irritation. These darker emotions play a fundamental part in the changing dynamics of the group's relationships.
