Introdução: O Serviço de Endoscopia é um setor que pode ser independente ou fazer parte de uma unidade de saúde com a finalidade de realizar exames de diagnóstico e tratamento de doenças gastrointestinais. Justificativa: Os endoscópios são equipamentos complexos e de alto custo e podem ser reprocessados para que sejam utilizados em vários pacientes, entretanto isso deve ser realizado de forma segura. Objetivo: O objetivo do estudo é propor uma ferramenta didática e pedagógica acerca do reprocessamento de endoscópios para os discentes do curso técnico em enfermagem. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo de campo descritivo. A coleta de dados ocorreu em fevereiro de 2021. Participaram da avaliação do produto 38 estudantes do curso técnico em enfermagem, com a validação de seis profissionais enfermeiros com experiência em reprocessamento de endoscópios. Resultados: Os dados foram analisados por meio da Análise de Conteúdo e evidenciou-se que a ferramenta didático-pedagógica, desenvolvida em formato de videoaula, mostrou-se eficiente. A dissertação foi fundamentada pela Teoria de Piaget de que métodos criativos contribuem para a construção do conhecimento.

Em meio as discussões nacionais sobre a banalização da prisão e do encarceramento prematuro de uma fração específica da sociedade, a obra aborda o instituto da prisão preventiva, como cautelar processual penal, e as repercussões da omissão legislativa quanto à sua duração que, inevitavelmente, culmina na ofensa aos direitos humanos daqueles que estão submetidos à persecução penal. A problemática se inicia na necessária diferenciação das prisões, entre prisão pena e prisão cautelar (provisórias por natureza), e a incoerência em existir lapso temporal previsto em lei somente para aquela que só existe após o trânsito em julgado da sentença penal condenatória. Para evidenciar a latente contradição, o autor mergulha em exemplos internacionais (Portugal, Itália, Alemanha etc.) para destacar a intangível responsabilidade do Estado em regulamentar a prisão cautelar, sob pena de institucionalização de um instrumento punitivo ilegítimo e violador dos direitos humanos, beirando a inimização daqueles que, costumeiramente, sofrem com a presumida culpa (ao invés de inocência) e amargam o esquecimento das instituições públicas no mais deplorável jeito de ser abandonado: no cárcere.

A presente obra "Escutas telefónicas: o efeito-à-distância e os conhecimentos fortuitos" reflete uma investigação, realizada no âmbito da dissertação de mestrado Jurídico-Forense, pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra, versada nas problemáticas do efeito-à-distância e dos conhecimentos fortuitos. Tratam-se de problemáticas que emergem frequentemente aquando do recurso à utilização do mecanismo de intercepção e gravações de conversações ou comunicações telefónicas, previsto nos artigos (arts.) 187º e seguintes do Código de Processo Penal (CPP), denominado como escutas telefónicas.

A disseminação de bactérias multirresistentes e de seus genes de resistência são um sério desafio terapêutico nos hospitais, representando também um crescente problema que tem se estendido para o meio ambiente. Neste estudo, foi realizada uma investigação microbiológica e molecular de patógenos bacterianos de prioridade crítica isolados de solo rizosférico e de vegetais de culturas agrícolas. As linhagens detectadas evidenciaram um ameaça potencial de exposição humana e animal a patógenos de prioridade crítica ou a seus genes de resistência, o que representa um risco alarmante à saúde pública.

This book is the result of an investigation about Literacy and The Pedagogy of Multiliteracies. This study was made on a 6th Grade Portuguese Language Class, and the aim was to analyse the Teacher¿s Conceptions and Practices as the Students¿ Concepts and Skills. We conclude with the positive and motivated achievement of the students in the project, which gave us the confirmation that the Pedagogy of Multiliteracies (The New London Group, 1996) can contribute to the students' development in achieving the multiliterate skills required today.Thus, this study has been limited to just opening the door to a didactics to take into account.

This book studies how short-sale constraints affect price efficiency in Brazilian stocks. The study uses a data set with all equity loan deals done in Brazil between January 2009 and July 2011. The main findings are the mapping of efficiency stock characteristics (i.e. stocks with more liquidity, larger size and greater book-to-market); an evidence of efficiency risk premium paid for investors that keep price-inefficient stocks in their portfolio; a positive relation between short selling and price efficiency and the event study of tax arbitrage, where it¿s possible to check that price inefficiency is positively related to short selling during the payment of interest on net equity.

The study of nuclear isotopes with strangeness is a wide area of research, encompassing hadronic interaction theories, stellar models and hypernuclear structure. Although fixed target experiments represent the main technology to produce hypernuclei, heavy ion collisions have been shown to be a fruitful alternative when considering light isotopes, particularly due to the capability of creating antimatter partners. This book contains results of investigations on the existence of the hypernucleus composed by one Lambda and two Neutrons (Lnn). The study of this particular state have raised special interest in the community in view of a current dilemma between theoreticians, who argue that the existence of such an isotope is inconsistent with the current understanding of hadronic interactions, and experimental results as the ones presented by the author, which indicates the existence of the Lnn with a significance greater than 4.

Os agentes de contraste iodados atuais causam diversos efeitos adversos e não proporcionam imageamento por período maior que trinta minutos surgindo a necessidade pela busca por agentes de contraste que diminuam os efeitos adversos e propiciem um imageamento de longo prazo. Nesse sentido o desenvolvimento de um agente de contraste iodado nanoestruturado torna-se promissor uma vez que sua estrutura nano traz por si a diminuição dos efeitos adversos e esta permite controlar o tempo que o agente de contraste permanecerá no organismo fornecendo assim um imageamento mais prolongado. O presente estudo desenvolveu uma nova formulação nanoestruturada contendo agentes de contraste iodados para a utilização em raio-x utilizando duas vias de síntese, uma com carreadores nanoestruturado lipídicos, o que posteriormente demonstrou ser inviável, e a utilização das Bases de Schiff, que demonstrou ser promissora.

Relying on Jorge Luis Borges¿ (1972) theory of creative infidelity as the main theoretical framework for my professional practice and ontological reflection upon literature, translation, authorship, and originality, this study ends up inevitably overthrowing adamant ontological schisms that regrettably saturate much of our artistic historiography. After all, according to my idea of performative translation, it is not the translator¿s point of departure or his/her deliberate destiny that need to be stressed, but the journey per se. The rather speculative findings of my thesis thus highlight the conceptual contributions of taking Borges notion of translation as co-authorship ad litteram, which actually guides us eventually towards perhaps one of the most redemptive rationales for translating.

With the evolution on thermal comfort solutions, the need to study heat-pumps and refrigeration systems has increased. This means that there¿s an interest in developed apparatus that will allow to converge the refrigeration cycles theory with the practical application of theses cycles. This equipment has been designed taking into account the basic principles of thermodynamics, namely the second law of thermodynamics. Some study cases performed on this equipment allow to demonstrate the capability to use this type of apparatus in teaching or practical situations.

ITIL is considered a framework of best practice guidance for IT Service Management and it is widely used in the business world. In spite of this, regarding Risk Management, there is only a coordination of exercises instead of a clear and owned process, which can limit the efficiency of ITIL¿s implementation in organizations. The present work approaches this issue and compares IT risk management in ITIL to other IT Governance and service management frameworks. Going further on this topic, we propose to map the M_o_R risk management framework in ITIL, mapping every M_o_R process, and adopting a strong risk management, which is based on specific guidelines without changing the framework. Besides this, we propose the introduction of new elements in the risk management ITIL process, such as KRIs and a new process responsible for defining risk management that can help guide risk in other processes.

Nesta pesquisa de campo, que atendeu 100% do público alvo de uma modesta cidade do norte do Paraná, pudemos investigar os conhecimentos dos professores de Educação Física de Porecatu para garantir a inclusão de alunos com síndrome de Down em suas aulas. Com uma profunda revisão de literatura e análise de dados, que apontam diversos saberes necessários para nossa atuação profissional, esta obra é destinada principalmente a professores de Educação Física, mas atende aos interesses de qualquer pessoa que queira conhecer mais sobre Síndrome de Down e inclusão.

This paper focuses on the analysis of important features of the bankruptcy system in the US and Brazilian system of law, on a comparative perspective. The automatic stay and the new Brazilian theories will be analyzed in the lights of the comparative law. It has as a goal to raise issues and discussions about important aspects of the automatic stay in the context of both systems of law. It also has the goal to demonstrate the influence of the US bankruptcy system over the Brazilian law for the creation of new Brazilian theories.

One of the Amazon¿s most endangered species is the small New World primate, ¿pied tamarin¿ (Saguinus bicolor). The species only occurs in the vicinity of the Brazilian Amazonas state capital city Manaus, where greatly scattered and fragmented small patches of highly degraded forest remain. The on-going growth of Manaus urban area has created habitat fragments where the pied tamarins now try to persevere. However, the city¿s incriminating matrix of busy roads and power lines, along with humans and both feral and domesticated pets, creates an impenetrable landscape for the dispersal of the species. The reduced size and poor quality of most forest fragments and the ultimate need for the dispersal of surplus individuals has highly deleterious implications for the survival of the local populations.

This book is about the electro-oxidation of small organic molecules under voltammetric and galvanostatic conditions, with special focus on the oxidation of formic acid and methanol on platinum. The dependence of various parameters, such as bulk solution pH, temperature. Besides these effects, the alloying effect of gold and the simultaneous oxidation of formic acid and methanol have been studied. All results have been interpreted in terms of the oxidation mechanism under conventional and oscillating conditions.

The economy of Mozambique has developed since the end of the Mozambican Civil War (1977¿1992), but the country is still one of the world's poorest and most underdeveloped countries. In 1987, the government embarked on a series of macroeconomic reforms designed to stabilize the economy. These steps, combined with donor assistance and with political stability since the multi-party elections in 1994, have led to dramatic improvements in the country's growth rate. Inflation was brought to single digits during the late 1990s although it returned to double digits in 2000-2002. Fiscal reforms, including the introduction of a value-added tax and reform of the customs service, have improved the government's revenue collection abilities. In spite of these gains, Mozambique remains dependent upon foreign assistance for much of its annual budget, and a large majority of the population remains below the poverty datum line. Subsistence agriculture continues to employ the vast majority of the country's workforce. A substantial trade imbalance persists although the opening of the MOZAL aluminum smelter, the country's largest foreign investment project to date has increased export earnings.

In this research a biaxial optical fiber sensor, based on Bragg gratings, is proposed for simultaneous monitoring of plantar and shear pressures. This work begins with the definition of the problem: the consequences of pathologies associated with diabetic foot and lower limbs disorders. It was analysed several previously published studies on plantar pressure sensors, the several methodologies and applications that already exist. A biomechanical research was carried out, with particular focus on gait pattern and human foot anatomy, in order to understand the different gait phases and points of greatest interest for foot pressure monitoring. Thus, the response of sensors based on Bragg gratings was studied in several configurations of sensing cells, then integrated in insoles. The sensitivities obtained for normal pressure were between 0.56 and 2.16 pm/kPa and, for shear pressure, between 0.51 and 3.98 pm/kPa. Those prove to be a non-invasive solution with potential to be included in e health systems for real-time gait monitoring. They can be prepared for daily medical use, serving as important tools in aiding prevention and diagnosis, especially of foot diseases.

This research systematizes the research results of qualitative approach, research-teaching modality, Martins (2009), with contribution in the conception of theory as expression of the practice. (Students subject of this research): ¿[¿] the collective systematization of knowledge makes it easier to understand where you had the most difficulty understanding, and it turns out that you learn much more from what others have to say to you about the subject, that on your own you would end up not giving importance. [...] this practice will depend on the students a lot and nobody can do their role, but it is a good idea to differentiate this monotonous way of teaching that we have nowadays. [...] allowed time not to be felt, unlike those "long" classes that the teacher begins to speak and it seems that the class will never end. [...] In addition to making classes more dynamic and contributing to the fixation of content, it would also arouse more interest in the student and possibly increase his/her academic performance. [...] I sincerely believe that not only in Physics but also in other subjects needs to be changed the way the content is being worked.¿
