- Fighting Shame with the Word of God
383,95 kr. When Isaiah stepped into the throne room of God, he was "undone" by his sinfulness in view of God's holiness. His response was a cry of despair and a recognition that he shouldn't even be alive in the presence of such perfection. But then a weird and beautiful thing happened--a terror-inducing angel, through the smoke and shaking and grandeur, touched his mouth with a coal and told him his sin was forgiven. Isaiah's response? HERE I AM. SEND ME. I DON'T CARE WHERE. I'M YOURS! I'LL DO WHATEVER! He moved from death to life. From undone by shame to a hopeful humility and an eagerness to serve the Lord. That's the Christian life. We were as good as dead, and the forgiveness of our good God gave us new life, new purpose, new confidence. Unfortunately, a lot of people never experience undoneness. Countless women and men move through life convincing themselves they are the source of grandeur and hope. This Bible study will help people see the deep, freeing truth that being undone is the right place to start. But we can't get stuck in the undone place. Sometimes we catch a glimpse of the train of God's robe and the depth of our sin, and we are crushed by how ridiculously we fall short; we never move on to the hopeful humility that flows from God's forgiveness. This Bible study will help girls move beyond the shame of their sin to the joy-inducing, peace-producing thrill that comes from a lifestyle of repentance and a relationship with Jesus. We were made to live in the light, confessing and repenting and renouncing our shame, because Jesus experienced shame in our place. This Bible study will be topical, group-focused, story-enhanced, humorous, and gospel-centered. The focus of the study will be what God's Word says about shame and how living in light of Jesus's sacrifice can free us from shame and lead us into the joy of our salvation.

- A Call to Make Your Life Count in a World of Urgent Need
398,95 kr. Something Needs to Change Bible Study Book with Video Access by David Platt includes printed content for eight small group sessions, personal study between group sessions, applicable Scripture, "How to Use This Study," and tips for leading a group. Also, each Book contains unique codes that enable you to access teaching videos for each session. David Platt took a trip to the Himalayan mountains that transformed the trajectory of his life. There he was confronted with staggering physical and spiritual needs unlike any he had seen before. On leaving, Platt found himself asking fundamental questions about his life and ministry. He realized that something needed to change. Being confronted with suffering causes us to ask questions that, if we are honest, we would rather ignore. However, if we believe the Bible, ignorance of profound human need is not an option for us. Neither is indifference. We cannot be Christians and turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the world in need around us. If those responses become the commentary of our lives and our churches, then one fact will be abundantly clear: we were not following Jesus on our journey through this life. What does it mean to follow Jesus in a world filled with urgent physical and spiritual need? In Something Needs to Change, David Platt explores that question as he takes you on a mind-wrestling, heart-wrenching trek through the Himalayas--a life-altering journey of obedience to Christ. Session Topics: Repentance Physical Need Spiritual Need Loving God and People Opportunities Counting the Cost The One Something Needs to Change Features: Videos featuring author David Platt Eight small group sessions for men and women Personal study opportunities between small group sessions for ongoing spiritual growth Benefits: Gain a sense of calling and purpose by considering ways God can use you to meet physical and spiritual needs. - Awakening to a Movement of God
298,95 kr. Could it happen again? Look around. Our world is divided in almost every way imaginable--religion, politics, race, views on sexuality, and much, much more. On the surface, it might not seem like the time is right for a movement of God. On the contrary, now is the perfect time for revival. Not the emotional, momentary, feel-good type that comes and goes, but a revival that changes hearts. When God changes hearts, churches change. And changed churches change cities, which change nations, which change the world. When the world has seemed to be at its darkest, the Spirit of God has moved in a way that only He could. Can He do it again? Yes, He can. We just need to prepare our hearts to be ready when He does. In this 8-session Bible study, author Shane Pruitt explores how God prepares our hearts to be catalysts of revival. Features: Eight group sessions Eight weeks of personal study segments in the Bible study book to complete between group sessions Eight teaching videos featuring author Shane Pruitt, approximately 6-8 minutes in length -- available separately* Leader helps in the back of the book to guide questions and discussion with small groups Biblically rooted and gospel-centered This book will... - Called to Be Free
383,95 kr. Freedom is something everyone wants but few truly experience. It's also understood differently by various people and cultures. But what does the Bible mean when it says that we're free? After all, it is "for freedom" that Christ set us free. The kind of freedom that Jesus offers is not the absence of constraint, or license, or personal autonomy. It's a deeper and more liberating freedom. It's the freedom from the slavery of sin, shame, and the law. It's the power that unites us to Christ and allows us to serve others in love. It's the settled confidence that comes from knowing we are adopted children of the King of the universe. It's what all the world wants that Jesus promised and is giving us daily in the gospel. Session Topics: 1. Free to Believe 2. Free to Contend 3. Free to Continue 4. Free to Identify 5. Free to Live 6. Free to Do Good Features: ● Six small group sessions ● Five-day concise reading plans each week ● Open, inviting design ● Guide for group discussion ● Questions for reflection ● Opportunities to memorize Scripture ● Call-outs and study features to help participants understand the story of the Bible Benefits: ● Get a Christian definition of freedom that serves as a basis for the Christian life. ● Reassess what gospel freedom means for you. ● See the benefits of the gospel applied to your life through a popular and easy-to-understand New Testament letter. ● Experience adoption and the freedom that comes from knowing that you are a fully loved and accepted child of God. ● Understand that there is no other gospel than the one Jesus offers, and that's a good thing for all of us. ● Let go of unhealthy spiritual attitudes or rhythms that have been keeping you from the blessings of the gospel that Jesus died to give you. ● Live to bear fruit of the spirit. ● Be encouraged to bear and share the burdens of others within the family of God. ● Love and serve others the way God intended for you. ● Realize that the freedom you have is not autonomy or the absence of constraint (nor a license to live however you want) but a deep and abiding commitment to serve God and love others.

123,95 kr. Love is bigger than what we feel. It's not an emotion or a romantic desire, and it's not just a way to sign your name to a letter or a Valentine's Day card. Love is a choice that has layers, and it goes beyond how we feel. We hear of people falling in and out of love all the time, but God's love never changes. And it's from His love for us that we are able to give love back to Him, as well as to our families, our friends, and the people we date. This way of looking at love might seem intimidating at first glance, but the good news is that God gives us everything we need to love Him and others well--including love itself. In this 30-day devotional, we'll break down the different types of love, and we'll learn how we can choose love God's way. - Discovering and Cultivating Your Spiritual Gifts
253,95 kr. What does it mean to be gifted? We tend to think of gifted people as those who are highly intelligent or who have extraordinary physical abilities. It's easy to watch certain athletes on the field or see leaders speaking in front of thousands of people and label them as gifted. So, it's no surprise that we carry this idea into the church. We think only the brightest and most outgoing Christians possess the gifts Jesus can use. This couldn't be further from the truth. If you've given your life to Christ, you are gifted. Yet knowing you're gifted is just the beginning. It's also important to know who gave you the gifts, what they are, what they are for, why they are important, and how you can use them to serve the Lord. This 5-session Bible study by Lifeway Students will explore all these questions and show us just how each of us is, in fact, gifted.

- Fighting Shame with the Word of God
383,95 kr. When Isaiah stepped into the throne room of God, he was "undone" by his sinfulness in view of God's holiness. When an angel touched his mouth with a coal and told him his sin was forgiven, Isaiah essentially said, "Here I am. Send me. I don't care where. I'm yours! I'll do whatever!" He moved from being undone by shame to a hopeful humility and an eagerness to serve the Lord. In this 6-session study from Scarlet Hiltibidal, discover the deep, freeing truth that being undone is the right place to start. Move beyond your shame to the joy-inducing, peace-producing thrill that comes from a relationship with Jesus. We were made to live in the light--confessing and repenting and renouncing our shame--because Jesus experienced shame in our place. Features: 6 weeks of personal study with 5 days of study each week Teaching videos, approximately 15 minutes each, via redemption code printed in the Bible study book Benefits: Gain perspective on sources of shame and grasp a vision for how to find freedom through God's Word. Experience the miraculous shift of living in light of the gospel today rather than hoping for a happy someday. Learn from the stories of women and men in the Bible who overcame their shame to walk in the freedom of God. Video Sessions: Session 1: Introduction (8:21)--In this introductory session, Scarlet introduces the study with a look at Genesis 3 and how shame entered our world. Ever since the garden of Eden, we have striven to put away shame and be worthy on our own. But Scarlet tells us we won't be worthy without the cross--and there is freedom in that. Session 2: Ashamed Isaiah (7:17)--In Session 2, Scarlet looks at Isaiah 6. While Isaiah was overwhelmed at God's glory and ashamed at his own sinfulness, God provided a beautiful invitation to him to walk in the freedom of forgiveness. God still offers us that same invitation. Session 3: Ashamed at the Well (8:40)--The woman at the well faced layers of shame--both internal and external. To this shame-filled woman, the shame-lifting Savior offered abundant life in Him. Scarlet invites us to meet with the Savior who is still lifting shame, and to tell others to do the same. This is good news we can't keep to ourselves! Session 4: Ashamed Peter (5:49)--In Session 4, Scarlet talks about Peter and what an amazing testimony of failure and forgiveness he provides for us in Scripture. We get to look at Peter's life--both the triumphs and the falls--knowing the end of the story and knowing that Jesus offers us redemption as well. Session 5: Ashamed Paul (7:46)--If anyone in Scripture demonstrates the power of the cross for our shame, it's Paul. The man who murdered Christians had a radical transformation into the man who brought the gospel to the ends of the earth. Scarlet invites us to live as testimonies to God's radical goodness and set our minds on eternity. Session 6: Shame Crucified (6:43)--In this last session, Scarlet unpacks Romans 8 and the incredibly good news that, even though we are unable to follow the law on our own, Jesus has done it for us. And through Him, because of Him, we have the opportunity to live in freedom from shame and abundance of life.

Tucked away near the end of the New Testament, you'll find Paul's letter to Titus. Scripture provides few details about Titus. But from this 46-verse letter, author Josh Smith has distilled ten foundations upon which to build godly men. Using his time-tested teaching process, this study can serve as a manual for becoming the kind of man God intends for you to be and leading other men to do the same. Taking ten qualities from the Apostle Paul's short letter to his mentee Titus, The Titus Ten will help you grow in your understanding of the gospel, your identity, your character, and more. Each chapter includes questions for reflection and discussion to process the way the Lord is developing you and to read in a group with other men. As you grow in these areas of your life, you'll become the kind of man God desires to use in your family, your church, and the world. He was resurrected on a Sunday morning two thousand years ago. That one weekend included His execution, an earthquake, daytime darkness, an uprising, and a miracle unlike any the world had ever seen. Those events and the days that followed changed everything about the world and form the center of our faith. Yet outside of a few days each year, we don't spend a lot of time contemplating the resurrection itself. In this four-session Bible study, we'll look back on that incredible weekend and see why the resurrection of Jesus gives us hope and confidence today.
