Strontium silicate (Sr2SiO4) nanophosphors were prepared by solution combustion synthesis method were characterised by X-ray diffraction, SEM and TEM. Structural optimisation of Sr2SiO4 nanophosphors were done by variation in temperature, fuel and calcination temperature and for the synthesis was obtained. The optimal condition for phosphor synthesised using glycine as a fuel calcinated at 900° C for the duration of 3 hours exhibited better crystallinity. The optimal condition was used further in synthesising of Sr2SiO4:Sm3+, Sr2SiO4:Eu3+ and Sr2SiO4:Dy3+ phosphors. XRD of all the synthesised phosphors were well indexed with JCPDS card No.39-1256 that corresponds to orthorhombic structure. Scherrer and WH-plots were used to determine the average crystallite size and were found to be around 40 nm, 43 nm and 38 nm for Sm3+, Eu3+ and Dy3+ doped Sr2SiO4 respectively. Detailed structural analysis of Dy3+ doped Sr2SiO4 was studied.

Burr formation is considered as a detrimental phenomenon that not only decreases the machined part surface and assembly quality but also increases the production cost. To perform burr removal from machined edges and holes, a secondary operation called deburring is demanded. Currently, the deburring is carried out manually by the worker and it is time consuming process. Also, the inspection of axle outer race components is carried out manually and the results are recorded in job sheet status report by operators. In order to reduce the processing time and to reduce the time taken for recording the inspection results an innovative solution is proposed. The designing of the deburring setup is carried out followed by fabrication. Subsequently, an inspection technique is successfully employed in order to identify the defects in the axle outer race to assist the operator. The results of the implementation of the developed setup showed that the deburring operation has become convenient for the worker. The computer based inspection setup has delivered an accuracy of 90 % of correct detection of defects.

Orthodontic bio-materials are made up of metal alloys, polymers, and composites. Each materials have their own advantages and disadvantages over the other. Interestingly none of the materials have all the ideal properties together. To overcome the disadvantages, a marked improvement in science and technology and materials helped to improve the material properties. Thus as long as humans thrives for excellence their search and betterment towards bio-materials will continue forever.

For each exercise, a share of theory with analysis is required to develop thinking and critical/professional abilities. Students must communicate properly with their coach, who in turn, are recommended to perform judicious follow-ups and counselling.

In jazz music, the main aspect is improvisation. Improvisation is one of the basic elements of musical performance that separates jazz from other types of musical art. Improvisation is based on the spontaneous construction of melodic phrases based on a harmonic sequence. But in order to achieve mastery of improvisation, it is necessary to have a large amount of theoretical knowledge, such as scales, musical scales, chords and their construction, harmonic sequences, and technical knowledge, that is, to be able to reproduce this theoretical knowledge on the instrument.

Attitude control of the rocket is a big challenge in real-time. To make the rocket stable against the influences, this book has examined the control technology such as proportional integral derivative control using an anti-windup mechanism and linear quadratic regulator theory based on the degree of freedom mathematical model. The transient behaviour of both controllers is not smooth and takes more time to settle in the defined location. Specific to the deficiencies of PID and LQR, the proportional integral derivative controller is combined with a fuzzy logic controller to overcome the defects of PID and LQR. In conclusion, this book compares the performance analysis of fuzzy-PID controllers with linear quadratic regulators and proportional integral derivative controllers. The simulation results indicate that the hybrid fuzzy-PID controller has a remarkable improvement in terms of overshoot and settling time besides reducing steady-state error. The proposed hybrid fuzzy-PID controller eliminates the overshoot completely and produces enormous stability for the rocket engine.

The Sustainable Development GoalsThrough the historic UN General Assembly Summit in September 2015, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted by the UN¿s 193 member states. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their 169 targets are the main core of this agenda. The Sustainable Development Goals are a clearcut, universal agreement to end poverty and all its facets and establish an equal, just and safe world ¿ for people, planet and prosperity. The SDGs have been developed through an extensive consultative process that brought national governments and millions of citizens from the globe together to negotiate and adopt this ambitious agenda.The concept of sustainable development was adopted by the World Commission on Environment and Development, and there is a consensus agreement that sustainable development encompasses a comprehensive and integrated approach to economic, social, and environmental processes. Debates on sustainable development, however, have focused primarily on the environmental and economic dimensions.

Zinc oxide is an inorganic compound with the formula ZnO. It usually appears as a white powder, nearly insoluble in water. The powder is widely used as an additive into numerous materials and products including plastics, ceramics, glass, cement, rubber (e.g., car tires), lubricants, paints, ointments, adhesives, sealants, pigments, foods (source of Zn nutrient), batteries, ferrites, fire retardants, first aid tapes, etc. ZnO is present in the Earth's crust as the mineral zincite; however, most ZnO used commercially is produced synthetically.In materials science, ZnO is often called a II-VI semiconductor because zinc and oxygen belong to the 2nd and 6th groups of the periodic table, respectively. This semiconductor has several favorable properties: good transparency, high electron mobility, wide band gap, strong room-temperature luminescence, etc. Those properties are already used in emerging applications for transparent electrodes in liquid crystal displays and in energy-saving or heat-protecting windows, and electronic applications of ZnO as thin-film transistors and light-emitting diodes.

The study on Sitophilus oryzae (L.) under the influence of botanicals in stored rice grains was conducted at Central Potato Research Institute, Campus, Modipuram, Meerut, U.P. India. Botanicals are considered as alterative for management of stored grain pests. Dry leaves (crushed) of six plants, viz., neem, eucalyptus, tulsi, melia, mint and chrysanthemum at 1 g and 2 g per 25 g of sterilized rice were used against S. oryzae. Ten adults were introduced into each conical flask having sterilized rice and crushed leaves. Each treatment was replicated thrice. Observations on mortality were recorded periodically at 24 h interval. The experiment was conducted at 28 ± 2°C and 75% R.H. The observations revealed that all the treatments were significantly superior to control. Mortality of the S. oryzae 2 g/25 g of rice was 100% in mint leaves in one day followed by neem, melia, tulsi, eucalptus and chrysanthemum leaves, compared to control.

Uzbekistan is one of the countries with the oldest and rich architectural heritage in Central Asia. Today, more than two thousand medieval architectural monuments are kept under state protection in our country. Historical monuments in the cities of ancient Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand and Shakhrisabz are included in the list of world cultural heritage of UNESCO. Currently, architectural secret symbolic decorations in these cities are almost unexplored, they are waiting for their solution. For example, the secret world of the secret decorations of the Sherdar madrasa, built in the 17th century in the Samarkand Registan, has been waiting for its solution for almost 400 years. The scientific hypothesis about the solution to the same problem is described in the monograph.This monograph is written for a large group of historians, architectures, artists, teachers and students of secondary and higher educational institutes as well as local people and tourists interested in national heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Stevia, acknowledged globally as a promising alternative sweetener, has encountered limited adoption among farmers, notably in Bangladesh, despite extensive international research. This challenge is ascribed to a deficiency in understanding suitable cultivation methods adapted to local soil conditions. Addressing this knowledge gap is imperative for the successful implementation of effective stevia cultivation practices. This underscores the necessity to disseminate precise knowledge on cultivation procedures tailored to the distinctive soil conditions prevailing in Bangladesh. Stevia emerges as a valuable sweetening alternative, particularly for individuals with diabetes, offering a solution to the artificial sugar shortage in Bangladesh. As a sweet herb and a calorie-free natural sweetener, the cultivation of stevia also holds the potential to contribute to a healthier economy. Remarkably, experimental findings underscore the superiority of field cultivation in terms of leaf yield per hectare, indicating that adopting field cultivation practices might be the most suitable technology for cultivating stevia in the diverse field conditions of Bangladesh.

The sex¿ratio is a function of three basic factors of sex ratio at birth, differential in mortality of two sex¿s at different stages of life and sex selectivity among the migrants. The number of missing women varies from one region to another according to its socio-cultural and economic beliefs and practices in treating the girls and women. According to estimation of noble prize laureateDr. Amartya Sen, 1990 around 100 million women are ¿missing¿ worldwide (more recent estimates suggest that there are 50 million missing women in India alone). Declining sex ratio is burning problem in India, in general and in particular. The sex composition of the study region shows the missing girls and women, and observed fewer females per thousand males.Therefore, this book deals with the introduction, significance of research work, brief review of literature, choice of study region, objectives, data base and methodology. Beauveria bassiana is an entomopathogenic fungus that causes white muscardine disease in a range of insects including whiteflies, aphids, thrips, grasshoppers and certain types of beetles. B. bassiana spores simply need to come in contact with a host. Once the host insect is infected, the fungus rapidly grows inside of the insect, feeding on the nutrients present in the host's body and producing toxins in the process. When the host dies, the B. bassiana covers the carcass in a layer of white mold that produces more infective spores. Naturally occurring in the soils of numerous regions globally. A major advantage to using Beauveria bassiana is the fact it can be used up until the day of harvest as the residue is not harmful to consumers.

The year 1961 is selected because this year forms an important watershed in the administration history of modern civil service since it witnessed a significant structural and functional change in the Ethiopian civil service institutions as the result of the issuance of the Public Services Order No.23/1961. On the other hand in 2021, the Civil Service Commission was re-established as an autonomous federal government organ having its own legal personality and being accountable for the Prime Minister. In this year, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Civil Service Commission not only introduced its ten-year public service sector road-map (2021-2030), but also has issued the revised Federal Employees' Employment, Promotion and Transfer Directive.

The methodological recommendations set out practical recommendations for providing primary resuscitation to newborns in accordance with the principles of ABCD- resuscitation and clinical protocols on neonatology approved by the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 104 dated February 10, 2016, taking into account the recommendations of the AAP and ACA. The guidelines are designed for practitioners of public health, clinical residents and university students to improve the development of practical skills using simulation equipment.

Because asthmatic children are fragile and inexperienced, they depend on their parents to give them a balanced life. So the quality of parental care, among other factors, is a key determinant of asthma control in children. Parents' levels of education, especially in health matters, form the basis for better quality parental care. This study was conducted in the paediatric emergency and resuscitation department of the CHU Hedi Chaker in Sfax, Southern Tunisia to assess parents' knowledge of asthma and their involvement in the management of this condition. The results obtained confirmed that asthma is a real concern and a problem for parents with an average level of knowledge, especially in terms of the pathophysiology of asthma and the use of treatment, which predisposes this population to more exacerbations, with a consequent deterioration in their quality of life. Given that asthma is the leading chronic disease in children, recognized by some as benign because paediatric mortality is fortunately low, but with a high morbidity rate, it should benefit from major national measures.
