In the 1700s, an Italian mystic took the European continent by storm, creating and courting controversy everywhere he went, and hugely impacting all of society, from the poor and the sick to the rich and the royal. This man was Giuseppe Balsamo, but he went by many names to those who knew him. The most common of those-which wafted on the winds of the European Courts-was Cagliostro. The author, Manteia, argues that Cagliostro was a victim of circumstance, but also a victim of himself. His dual identity created the highs of apparent miracle and the lows of evident trickery, explaining the myriad conflicting accounts of this fascinating figure. In this compelling read, translated from the Italian for the first time, the captivating history of the magician and alchemist is explored, from his dignified reception throughout Europe to his eventual downfall and demise. Manteia goes beyond the history, delving deep into the psychoanalytical and even the astrological explanations of this fabulous "double life."

EXPLORE THE MAGICAL PATH OF THE CHAMELEON. Within this tome are the secret instructional papers of a modern Golden Dawn order. The first half of the book contains an advanced exegesis of the Neophyte Ceremony using Lurianic Kabbalah, Freemasonry, modern Wicca and Greek mythology. The second half includes the author's own application of the same magical formulae in his personal rituals. Among these are an example of his fusion of evocation and classical statue Theurgy, a careful interpretation and re-contextualisation of the Adept invisibility formula with new advanced visualizations, a Shamanic-style transformation ritual, and a higher genius or "higher self" working that the author personally conducted over many years.

The Qabalah has long been a system of mysticism and magic that few could truly understand, thanks to the difficult and obtuse language and symbolism employed. Many texts have appeared, offering to explain this mysterious subject, but few do so as succintly as this book. The Qabalah: Beyond the Veil aims to lift the lid on this extraordinary tradition, utilised by Jews, Christians and Hermeticists. It provides a brief look at the primary aspects of the system, from the Sephiroth and Paths on the Tree of Life to the Lightning Flash and those most impenetrable of all veils: those of Negative Existence itself.

Over the years many myths have built up about one of the founders of the Golden Dawn, Samuel L. MacGregor Mathers. Many of these have been created by those who wish to damn the Golden Dawn and its system of magic or by those who want to naively believe a bogus magical story about the Order and its founders. In King Over the Water, Golden Dawn magician Nick Farrell paints a picture of the founders of the Golden Dawn becoming out of their depth as the Order began to create magicians. Rather than painting Mathers as an eccentric genius, Farrell sees him as an autocratic fantasist. He sees Mathers struggling to keep up as his students rapidly became better than him at the system he created, and shows how he was unable to raise his game to help the Order develop further. In what is a portrait of the problems that could befall any esoteric leader, Farrell (author of Gathering The Magic, a textbook on magical group dynamics) reveals how Mathers' later rituals were an attempt to remove the magic from the system he created so that he could milk it for money.Included are previously unpublished papers from Mathers' own version of the Golden Dawn, the Alpha et Omega, including the original Z documents, the full version of the Book of the Tomb (a key document for creating a Vault of the Adepts), the original method for the consecration of the sword, and much more.King Over the Water is the prequel to Farrell's groundbreaking exposé on the Alpha et Omega, Mathers' Last Secret, and provides another look into the mind of a magician that helped develop the magic we use today.

The Oracle of Rasputin is an ancient script attributed to the controversial Russian mystic and discovered by the Italian chiromancer Leopoldo Benassi, better known as Professor Manteia, from the Greek for "divination." Manteia came into possession of the Oracle in an encounter with a mysterious gentleman, deciphered the text written in Old Russian, and translated it into Italian. The first version of The Oracle of Rasputin was published in the 1960s and became an immediate success. The book contained the fascinating story of how Manteia was given the text, the explanation of the celestial alphabet used in the Oracle, the life of Grigori Rasputin, and the table of the 63 personal questions with the relevant responses given by the Oracle. The book also contained the three talismans or amulets (relating to Air, Fire, and Water) to be used in order to obtain the responses to the questions. The Oracle of Rasputin was translated into different languages and distributed in many countries, but there was never an English version until Paolo Benassi, Manteia's son, took up the mantle and delivered this latest edition.
