Cognitive dissonance is a historical amnesia caused by the falsification of history, epistemicides and cultural genocides, manifests in forms of inferiority complex, self-hate, and self-alienation of the black people and the sense of superiority as natural to the white race. It manifests in dichotomy, affects both white race and black people, it can be called coloniality of being. Therefore this situation led to racism, exploitations, political nihilism, exploitation of woman, oppression of the margins therefore the need to confront cognitive dissonance. Confronting is the first step, which explains the realisation of the effects of the subjects and then deconstructs it, hence the need to confront and deconstruct cognitive dissonance. But the journey should not end there, but should create the templates of peaceful post-coloniality.

After transatlantic slave trade and physical colonization, history was conquered as well. In doing so, Africa declared a continent without historical conscience, her past refereed to dark continent. Why? and what was the reason behind? This questions occupy the thematic approach of this book. The reason behind distortion of African history was the perpetual quest for dominance. History is the most important weapon to defend national and territorial integrity, hence history decentered from Africa. The epistemic deficiency of contending issue in post-imperial Africa, Zimbabwe in particular influence the author to take readers on the interesting journey of joining the reflections of ghetto life into concept and culture. Ghetto renaissance responding to ghetto condition proved itself to the future, Cultural Revolution confronting Afro-fascist nationalist regimes and the complex global coloniality. Though some challenges, such as identity crisis, self-hate and criminal activities, ghetto cosmology left no stone unturned in making the post-colonial Zimbabwe a practical political project in the prism of decoloniality.
