Harbinger Asylum is a literary and arts journal that seeks to bring the international poetry community to Houston poets, and Houston poets to the international community. We seek an honest range of ideas, expressions, thoughts, and beliefs in publishing. We enjoy vibrant poetry that shows the reader a world he or she may not have seen otherwise. We believe poetry is a life force, the building blocks of our spiritual existence. We were nominated as best poetry journal by the National Poetry Awards in 2013. Our journal is longstanding. We have published literature since 2010.

Harbinger Asylum is a fixture in the Houston, Texas literary community. We seek to embolden and encourage world authorship and bring fantastic poetry to the writing community at large. In this process, we hope to develop community rather than competition.

From One Sphere to Another is a collection of Harbinger Asylum's best poetry published from 2010-12. Harbinger Asylum is Houston's own international poetry magazine. It was nominated as best magazine of the year at the 2013 National Poetry Awards. We publish poems from established writers as well as emerging writers.
