What may the Lord remember us for when we are called to appear before the presence of His glory? With everything that occupies our attention this question may not be on our mind, but we may understand all we see and do is somewhere between its origin and completion. Whether we see how far or near we are from our origin, or completion, our days are from and for the Lord, and the Word of God says, "your God will be your glory" (Isaiah 60:19). Our free will is a gift of immeasurable grace from the steadfast love of our great God. Outcomes of our free will are who we choose to honor and identify with, who we believe and follow, and who we give our heart to and love above all. God does not force us to choose what He chooses. That is our decision to make. The Lord of Life, Christ Jesus, asked Simon Peter, "Do you love me more than these?" It was time for Peter to choose. Peter may not have anticipated the question (we may not either) but his decision and answer were reflected in all that he did the rest of his life (and ours are, too) because the question is far more than temporal and worldly-it is of God and eternal. This is the second book by the author, whose first title was "Give Me Service" which discussed aspects of serving sacred stewardships our God entrusts to our care. Unlike something we own, stewardships are not a possession. They are a trusteeship we serve for a time in accordance with God's will. The distinction between ownership and stewardship is not always clear in practice or perception. Many owners of vast resources have genuine hearts of trusteeship, while some trustees are unaware of the extraordinary stewardship in their care. Wherever we are on this spectrum, everyone is a trustee of something God has provided. There are no exceptions. In Give Me Service, you will find clarity and guidance for those fulfilling their purpose through stewardship. Through the narrative of life events, Bill demonstrates how God has appointed each one of us a special gift of service. For it is by God's providence and purpose we are inspired and enabled to serve all that He trusts to our care (sacred stewardships).
