408,95 kr. The Civil War and Reconstruction in Alabama was originally published in 1906 by Walter Lynwood Fleming. This was of the first of many state-specific histories of the Reconstruction period published by the famous "Dunning School" of historians educated under William A. Dunning at Columbia and focused on the collection and analysis of primary sources. Fleming is particularly focused on the perspectives and motivations of the actors in this drama, and on the character of the setting, and his history is outstanding for capturing the passionate spirit of a disorderly and uncertain time. This book has been re-published from the original text by Tall Men Press. It is not a facsimile reprint.
