  • - International Workshop, SSC 2007, Los Angeles, CA, USA, May 31 - June 2, 2007, Revised Invited Papers
    af Solomon W. Golomb
    566,95 kr.

These are the proceedings of the Workshop on Sequences, Subsequences, and Consequences that was held at the University of Southern California (USC), May 31 - June 2, 2007. There were three one-hour Keynote lectures, 16 invited talks of up to 45 minutes each, and 1 "e;contributed"e; paper. The theory of sequences from discrete symbol alphabets has found practical applications in many areas of coded communications and in cryptography, - cluding: signal patterns for use in radar and sonar; spectral spreading sequences for CDMA wireless telephony; key streams for direct sequence stream-cipher cryptography; and a variety of forward-error-correctingcodes. The workshopwasdesigned to bring leading researcherson "e;sequences"e;from aroundtheworldtopresenttheirlatestresults, interchangeinformationwithone another, and especially to inform the larger audience of interested participants, includingfaculty, researchers, scholars, andstudentsfromnumerousinstitutions, as well as the readers of these proceedings, about recent developments in this important ?eld. There were invited speakers from Canada, China, Germany, India, Israel, Norway, Puerto Rico, and South Korea, in addition to those from the USA. Support for the workshop was generously provided by the O?ce of the Dean of the Viterbi School of Engineering, by the Center for Communications Research (CCR-La Jolla), and by the United States National Science Foundation (NSF). This support is hereby gratefully acknowledged.

  • - Third International Conference, Seoul, Korea, October 24-28, 2004, Revised Selected Papers
    af Tor Helleseth
    585,95 kr.

This volume contains the refereed proceedings of the 3rd International Conf- ence on Sequences and Their Applications (SETA 2004), held in Seoul, Korea during October 24-28, 2004. The previous two conferences, SETA 1998 and SETA 2001, were held in Singapore and Bergen, Norway, respectively. These conferences are motivated by the many widespread applications of sequences in modern communication systems. These applications include pseudorandom sequences in spread spectrum systems, code-division multiple-access, stream ciphers in cryptography and several connections to coding theory. The Technical Program Committee of SETA 2004 received 59 submitted - pers, many more than the submissions to previous SETA conferences. The C- mittee therefore had the di?cult task of selecting the 33 papers to be presented at the Conference in addition to four invited papers. The authors of papers p- sented at the conference were invited to submit full papers that were refereed before appearing in this proceedings. These proceedings have been edited by the Co-chairs of the Technical P- gram Committee for SETA 2004: Tor Helleseth of the University of Bergen, Norway, and Dilip Sarwate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, and Technical Program Committee members Hong-Yeop Song of Yonsei University, Korea, and Kyeongcheol Yang of Pohang University of Science and Technology, Korea.

  • - Workshop on the Theory and Application of Cryptographic Techniques Lofthus, Norway, May 23-27, 1993 Proceedings

Eurocrypt is a series of open workshops on the theory andapplication of cryptographic techniques. These meetings havetaken place in Europe every year since 1982 and aresponsored by the International Association for CryptologicResearch. Eurocrypt '93 was held in the village of Lofthus in Norwayin May 1993. The call for papers resulted in 117 submissionswith authors representing 27 different countries. The 36accepted papers were selected by the program committee aftera blind refereeing process. The papers are grouped intoparts on authentication, public key, block ciphers, secretsharing, stream ciphers, digital signatures, protocols, hashfunctions, payment systems, and cryptanalysis. The volumeincludes 6 further rump session papers.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Sequences and Their Applications, SETA 2012, held in Waterloo, Canada, in June 2012. The 28 full papers presented together with 2 invited papers in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 48 submissions. The papers are grouped in topical sections on perfect sequences; finite fields; boolean functions; Golomb 80th birthday session; linear complexity; frequency hopping; correlation of sequences; bounds on sequences, cryptography; aperiodic correlation; and Walsh transform.
