In the German-speaking regions of Central Europe between about 1880 and 1933 there flourished a group of alternative cultural, social and artistic movements that loosely self-identified as the Lebensreformbewegungen- the Reform of Life Movements. This book is an exploration of the occult dimensions of Marxism, Bolshevism and the historical influences of Russian Cosmism on these ideologies. Occultism, magic, Bolshevism and Cosmism are defined at the outset. Chapter one explores Federov's Cosmism and the theory of Marxism as an occult philosophy. Russian sects, the Narodniks and Anarchy are discussed.
