Ancestors of John and Hervila Hough Saxton are the main focus of this family history but many lines are brought forward past the time where they intersect with lines that lead to John and Hervila.

Dates in the book are from the 1790's to some current dates but mainly concentrate in the 1800's and early 1900's.

The book reaches back into the early records of several families, notably the Dearlove and Cave families as well as Cummins, Crume, Violett, Lent, Thompson, Reddick, and more. The roots of the families are all British Isles, namely England and Scotland.

This book is a genealogy/family history of the Sedlacek's who originated in Sedliste, Bohemia, many of whom emigrated to the U.S., primarily Iowa as well as Nebraska, and Kansas.

The Vanourney and Lukavsky Family History extends back into the 1700's and includes surnames other than Vanourney and Lukavsky, including Blazek, Rinda, Fiala, and Kostalek as they occur in Bohemia.
