- Finding Clarification of Christian Beliefs through the Words of Scientists, Scriptures, Sages and Seers
118,95 kr. SPIRIT and TRUTH is a thought-provoking and in-depth account of the origins, purpose, and destiny of mankind. As such, it provides a way to think about the basic truths from which many religious concepts originate as it explains beliefs commonly held but little understood. SPIRIT and TRUTH is a compilation of information from many sources including the Bible, the teaching of Paramahansa Yogananda, and the readings of Edgar Cayce, and the latest scientific discoveries that substantiate the information discussed. From it the reader will gain an idea of the nature of God, soul, mind, and will, the creation of matter and man, and the meaning of evolution. SPIRIT and TRUTH is about the underlying spiritual truths that are the basis of religious doctrines. Answers to most questions about Christian beliefs can be found here.

98,95 kr. About the Book: **REVISED EDITION** If you are looking for a book to challenge your faith, grow your faith and encourage you to be who God created you to be, then look no further. This book will challenge you to understand the Gospel, what is expected of you and how you can become a full-fledged disciple who is relentless in your pursuit of creating more disciples. We have been apathetic for far too long and it is time for us to wake up and get to work. But first, as Jesus did with His disciples, we need to understand how our life as Christians should look so as not to paint the wrong picture of Jesus to the world. This book will challenge you to examine your faith, grow your faith and to become what God expects of us in Christ. Ephesians 2:10 says, "We are God's workmanship in Christ to do works which He prepared beforehand for us to do." That means we don't have a say and when we profess the Lordship of Christ in our lives, there comes an expectation of the things we do, how we act and who we now belong to. Let us not continue living the life we lived before Christ, but let us take on the new life in Christ and take the message of hope to the world.About the Author: Samuel was born and raised in Birmingham, AL where he currently resides with his family. He came from a pretty tough upbringing that brought many challenges and could have easily led him down a deep dark path in life. However, the grace of God through Christ gave him a firm foundation from a young age. He never expected to be called into ministry, but God had different plans for him. He has served in roles such as Student Pastor, Evangelism and Outreach Director, Men's Discipleship Pastor, Associate Pastor and Adult Discipleship. He has also served as an independent evangelist with his own outreach ministry and the opportunity to share the gospel through speaking in churches and events. His deepest passion is to encourage believers to get rooted in their faith by understanding Biblical instruction for the believers. Author was never on his list of things to do, yet he felt that God was leading him to put his past studies and messages into a format that could reach a larger number of people, and so, Rooted: The Unshakeable Christian was born.

International voices from across the globe come together in Art Therapy and the Creative Process to share their perspectives on art, the artist’s process, and how art has been therapeutic for them.In the first section, the three primary contributors--Alfredo Zotti, Samuel Mann, and Cynthia Pearson--create a triple commentary on a piece of art. Zotti paints a picture, Mann analyzes it, and Pearson writes a poem to complement it. In later sections, various artists share why they write, paint, play music, or take photographs, including what their individual mediums mean to them, what they may mean to others, why they have chosen various art forms, how art allows them an opportunity to escape from the world, and how it can also help them heal.Artists will find kindred spirits in these pages. Lovers of literature, music, and art in all its forms will gain insight into artists’ souls, how they view the world a little differently, and why. Art Therapy and the Creative Process gives art a purpose beyond what most of us usually think of it having—that art is a way to keep us all sane in a maddening world and it gives us the opportunity to create something to heal that same world that wounds us."Art Therapy and the Creative Process is a fascinating, multi-perspective look at art. I found myself resonating with many of the pieces here. Art allows us to take control of the uncontrollable and make meaning out of chaos. Viewing art as therapy opens the door to a new understanding between art, science, and psychology.”-- Tyler R. Tichelaar, Ph.D. and award-winning author of The Best Place and Narrow Lives"Creative activities heal. They lift us out of suffering for awhile. They validate us when we feel damaged and worthless. And, over time, they can transform our perception of our world, so that we change from sufferers to survivors, and even joyful surmounters. Art Therapy and the Creative Process can be a shining example for those who want a way out of a personal hell.”--Bob Rich, PhD, psychologist and author"Personal stories and insight in the process of healing are at once empowering and therapeutic. Unlike the standardized medical therapies, healing via art, as sampled in this anthology, is the natural and most effective key to our most valuable asset--our health."--Ernest Dempsey, editor, Word MattersLearn more at www.AlfredoZotti.comArt : Criticism & Theory
