Credit risk remains as the vital and challenging corporate function as it will affect the profitability of banking sector. The research found that NPAs affect profitability of the public sector banks and private sector banks. As the level of NPAs increasing, profitability of banks has been decreasing. However, Bank specific determinants and macro-economic determinants explained that cost of fund, net interest margin and weighted average lending rate, index of industrial production, index of agriculture production have shown an influence on the level of gross NPAs of public sector banks and private sector banks. Bankers should take an initiative to maintain credit deposit ratio, cash deposit ratio and its capital base if banks have strong capital base and sound profitability then it will help to lower the level of NPAs. Banks should also pay more attention on bank specific variables and macro variables which influence level of NPAs of Indian Banking Sector and take initiatives to control these variables. Banks should focus on macro variables like WALR, index of industrial production and index of agriculture production and bank specific variables like COF and NIM to control NPAs.

Banking sector is a driving engine of economic growth for the developing market economies. In today¿s world, banking is all about management of NPA because economic repercussions of a bank¿s collapse could be catastrophic on whole monetary system. Defective NPA management practices played a serious role in recent incidents of financial chaos. This book deals with the strategies adopted by the public and private sector banks to manage Non- Performing Assets. The research concluded that bankers of public sector banks and private sector banks adopt different strategies to manage NPAs. But there are few strategies which are more important to both the public and private sector banks like financial position of borrowers in appraisal process, monitoring of standard assets in monitoring and controlling and early warning signals in other strategies. Major factors such as poor legal system, attractive schemes, industrial recession and poor follow-up and supervision affected badly of NPAs of public sector banks whereas factors such as improper planning of customers, attractive schemes and rate of interest affected NPAs of private sector bank.

Doctoral Thesis / Dissertation from the year 2021 in the subject Biology - Neurobiology, grade: N/A, Technical University of Munich (German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE)), language: English, abstract: Lewy body (LB) disorders, such as dementia with LBs and Parkinson¿s disease with dementia (PDD) are characterized by their pathological hallmark, i.e., the gradual appearance of LBs. Therefore, a deep understanding of the molecular and cellular mechanism, favoring the formation of LBs is required.These proteinaceous inclusions are found in different cell types of the nervous system. The key constituent protein-component of such inclusions is the protein alpha-synuclein (¿-Syn). ¿-Syn along with other bio-active material gets secreted as content of extracellular vesicles (EVs). These vesicles not only excrete bioactive material but are also able to transport it to distant sites, and therefore have implications for disease pathology seeding and spreading.Using patch-clamp electrophysiology techniques along with simultaneous real-time molecular imaging, we determined the kinetics of EV-release in hippocampal neurons. We designed a pH-sensitive molecular tag, targeted specifically to membranes of EVs and applied this method to study stimulus-responsive MVB-PM fusion, in order to determine the kinetics, specific stimuli and regulators of such events. In addition, we analyzed the EV-content by performing mass spectrometry (MS) analysis and identifyed LBP-related molecular interactions.

Master's Thesis from the year 2017 in the subject Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, grade: 8, , language: English, abstract: This work presents a system that would help in automatic design of multi-gates for multi-cavities dies. The system is able to automate: (i) the determination of the placement of gate, and (ii) determination of the shape of gate for die-casting parts having simple shapes. The system has to be implemented in GUI of MATLAB 7.10 using the best industry practices and recommendations from NADCA for gating-system design. The proposed system is able to generate parameters of multi-cavity gating-system for parts requiring multi-gates from the part model data. The other information required for working of the system includes material properties, die-casting process parameters and die-casting casting machine parameters which comes under the data initialization process. The parameters of the gating-system which are determined by the system are used for design of gating-system for the multi-cavity dies. This is done by updating the parameters of pre-modeled gating-system features stored as feature library. Chapter 3 , 4 and 5 present the various modules of the system along with its implementation on case-study parts. The results from the case-studies are quite encouraging and are in-line with the best industry practices. The present work describes a novel methodology for computer-aided automatic placement of the gating system for a die-casting part. it uses the parting line information to identify the probable positions for the placement of the gating system. This aspect of die-design has not received due attention of the researchers in the past. Moreover, the automated gating-system design for die-casting parts that require multiple agates in a multi-cavity die has not been attempted. Both these features provide the originality to the present work.
