Fragments From The Shadows is Renee Danette's fourth published book of poetry. This volume of poetry is about facing grief and loss which can be so emotionally heavy and uncomfortable to share. Interspersed within the stanzas strong with sentiment are those joyful memories that have so much to do with shaping the adult character of the author in the aftermath of these experiences. As quoted in one of Renee Danette's poems... "A strong woman is a woman poet / who dares to share her self / to strangers who deem / to read her words, / digest their message / and pretend to "know her". "

Renee Danette is recently retired after teaching for 43 years in a small school district on Long Island. During her first year of retirement she self-published her first poetry collection entitled, Woman On The Edge Of Time. Primitive Dancer, a celebration to all who feel the joy when spinning under the sun's ray and twirling beneath the moonbeams, is her second formal collection of personal poetry. Renee Danette still lives on Long Island, enjoying all that this magical place offers. Currently she is finalizing her third book of poetry and is working on a fourth.
