Ms Marites Ritumalta has been indefatigable in her contributions to the global poetic arena. Her Facebook group, 'Poetry Planet', hosts thousands of talented poets and Poetesses across the globe. She had nurtured many and has encouraged countless others to come out of their poetic closets and let the world enjoy their poetic abilities. Yours sincerely is among the many that she had helped to lay a foundation for his writing journey. To this, we all are wholly grateful.This anthology will go a long way to establish the belief that a mother is the main captain of the family ship, albeit she is usually relegated to the background in many climes. Yet, the power and spirit of the mother cannot be overemphasized. A mother is a dogged colossus and it takes great wisdom to appreciate her as such. Mother indeed is sweet.

I don't dream big, I just want to dream right, the right to get those poems that are uniquely written be published and be protected... But because I am just a small dot in the huge world of poetry, no one seems to appreciate and value the works of budding poets like me! It is the reason I created "POETRY PLANET". But by making our lives meaningful and well-spent every day, then we can overcome this fear within us...Wars, accidents, and sickness, are near-death situations beyond the control of survivors...and worst yet, the end-point of those who never made it. So live our lives the best we can while we have it.The poets are among the best people artistically expressing their emotions regarding this matter... Sculptors carve images that start with a single idea. Painters brush pictures in canvas seen only in their imaginations. One writer can create a famous novel with fictitious stories. A poet can pen a rhyming inkling no one ever thought before... There are many illustrators, painters, sculptors, and writers gifted with unique talents to fabricate, scribble and shape... Simply, because we were made by an artist who created all the wonderful things around us... We want our talents to be exposed, it is the reason we are joined together in one group to help each other enhance that ability ... Words in Motion is a poetry challenge that started in 2016... Actually, this is not the first book published in that challenge... The first book; POETRY PLANET's Words In Motion, Winning Poems Anthology was published in June 2017 and revised into 2 books in 2018. As the poetry challenge continues to operate, many talents were able to boost their writings as different themes are being used. Right now, there are 142 themes formed from the day it started... Imagine the poems being scribbled from all those themes, unique and originally written by hundreds of budding poets, and most of them are now established, writers...This year, there are 9 themes chosen in this book participated by more than 200 poets from different parts of the globe. Rhymed, prose, or free verse, their works were manifested from their unadulterated ideas... Now being published for everyone to read... In March 2020, the world was in panic as COVID-19 becomes an outbreak, infecting millions of people killing more than a hundred thousand ( records increased to millions in August 2020)...Suddenly, our daily routine has changed, as everyone were obliged to stay in their homes, never allowed to go out.... We are all in LOCKDOWN... The very reason this book was made.This year marked one of the most horrifying history no one will ever forget, with the world being attacked by an aggressive murderer, an unseen enemy killing millions... No, this is not a sci-fi movie we dread to watch, this is reality... The cries are real, the deaths are real, the virus is real, invading the bodies, killing people... And if we are not careful, we can become one of its victims...As writers, we want to record this event to inform our future generations, if we, by chance, will be able to survive this fate... The prose, short stories, and poetries included in this book are written by writers of different ages, of different level of education, of different backgrounds, and of various countries, all joined to share their thoughts and experiences while being lockdown in their homes... Every three months, I publish the winning poems of aspiring poets who participated and won the poetry competitions that we conduct in the group (Poetry Planet). This serves as the reward for outstanding the challenges among hundreds of participants around the globe. These poetry games also serve as a first step for them to pursue effective writing further in the future. Rewarding them by getting their works published gives them confidence to continue. I cannot do this alone without the help of my moderators that conduct poetry competitions in different categories; the voluntary contributions of the board of judges who meticulously pick the winners according to the given criteria and the support of the members and participants. Do stars really have the power to affect our lives? Does their alignment in the sky have any relation to our lives as human beings? What is the connection between our personal lives and the arrangement of the stars above? Astrology, astronomy, cosmotology, astrophysics and other sciences certainly believe in this line of principle. According to Saga, we are all stardust souls as we are all dreamlike, romantic well-beings made from star stuff carbon, nitrogen and oxygen ions in our bodies. In related thought, we are dreamers who regard the stars as having the pulsar and blazar powers in granting our wishes and influencing our lives. And although we lack any cognate relation to star deities Astraeus and Astria of mythology, we still have parallel similarity in a sense that metaphorically, we are also stars.

There are many heroesyet there is a Real Hero.This true hero won't be recognizedby any special marks nor tattoos or by bearing stars nor scars.This hero is the one who has no certain mark on the infinite number - line of life stretching from zero to infinity of eternity.The one who is keen - sighted and proudly wears responsibility as his second skin, smiling with fervency through it all;the lashes of strife as they strikeand the showers of blessings as they pour.This Real Hero by any means takes risks to afford and fendand wend a way thoroughly through with a mighty hand through a band of situations and circumstances life ever dishes out.The one who boldly plays safe havenand an unshakable sheltereven when vehemence gushes - out with all its mightand when storms roar and thunders clap.The very one whose heart beats with love and careand whose breath is only a fair share of warmth and wisdom.To whom;family comes as sweetest treasure and a priceless treasureso sacred as blood.The one who sternly acts a finger that always puts food on the table and the one who cultivates good morals and values in the homestead and to all manner of life.The real hero is a true Legend in the making for He represents a strong pillar to mould each fabric of societyinto something beautiful and to firmly hold it all together.
