Wir schreiben das Jahr 2022 und das Unvorstellbare ist eingetreten. Bis zum Schluss erhofften sich die Menschen in Europa und gleichermaßen auf der gesamten Welt eine diplomatische Lösung in dem Konflikt um die Ukraine. Doch im Februar 2022 überraschte Russland die ukrainische Bevölkerung und die gesamte Weltgemeinschaft mit einem Angriffskrieg auf die Ukraine. Seither gerät der Staatspräsident Russlands, Vladimir Putin und der Staatsapparat unter immensen Druck. Große Teile der russischen Bevölkerung gehen proaktiv auf die Straße, um gegen die Ungerechtigkeit, die der ukrainischen Bevölkerung angetan wird, zu protestieren. Seitdem steigt auch erneut die Anzahl an Meldungen von Verhaftungen von Demonstranten und dem Abschalten von freien Medienportalen in Russland. Ebenfalls werden Sanktionen gegen russische Unternehmen und Oligarchen verhängt, welche die russische Wirtschaft und die Staatswährung in einen Sinkflug versetzen. Diese Entwicklung ließ bei mir die Frage aufkommen, in welcher Art und Weise Putin es dennoch schafft und in der Vergangenheit geschafft hat, an der Macht zu bleiben und ob diese Maßnahmen auch für andere Regime zutreffend sind.
