As Carmen and I ran, laughed and squealed down the beach, Cameron and Carter picked up their speed and continued to squirt us. With this said, none of us could not help but laugh.

Dear Journal, Today is a big day for my teammates, best friend, dance teacher and me. Today we will be competing against forty nine other states for the title of 2019 National Dance Champions! Just like at State, I will be dancing a solo, as well as dancing a group dance with my best friend and teammates. All of us have worked hard to get to Nationals. With this said, I really want us to win today! Even though it is an exciting day, it is also a sad one for me. This is the first competition that Mom will not be at. Even though I miss her like crazy every day, I miss her even more today. With this said, I am so thankful to have Daddy. Even though we have always been close and had a strong bond, we have become closer and our bond has become stronger. Helping each other through the grief over these past couple of months has strengthened our relationship. Continuing to speak of Dad, he has thankfully gotten permission to watch me do my solo and group dance from backstage. Bea has also thankfully gotten the permission to watch my solo from backstage, too. Knowing that these two will be watching me gives me a form of comfort and peace. After all, this is one of those times where I need them now more than ever.-Beverly

Due to scheduling conflicts for her TV show, Leighton List was unable to come home to Houston, Texas to see her parents and best friends for Christmas. That is what she and her parents had been telling everyone, including Leighton's best friends. The real and true plan was this: Leighton was going to be home from December 20th- January 3rd! Before Leighton could surrender this piece of the surprise, there was another piece that she had to play out. Tonight was her best friend's school's winter masquerade ball, and she was going to surprise her best friends and good friends.As the limo pulled up to the Hotel Icon entrance, Leighton thanked the driver and got out of the car. Her heart fluttering, Leighton made her way into the hotel and to the ballroom.

As Ross looked at the duet that Robyn had written, feelings of awe and wonder filled his heart. He had always known that Robyn was an amazing singer/song-writer, but this song was truly incredible. As the plane took off from Denver International Airport, I could not help but feel happy and relaxed. Besides receiving all A's on my finals, school was out of session for three weeks. Even though those were two things that I was definitely excited about, it did not compare to how excited I was about returning to my hometown of Orlando, Florida.

Even before I was diag-nosed with cancer at the age of thirteen, Mom, Dad, and I would meet up with our lifelong family friends, Elyse, Heath, and Jimmy Coch-rane. We would meet up at my family's and my large beach house and stay the Fourth of July week-end together. Even though I have not been able to return to Henley Beach in years, due to my cancer, I am now well enough to spend a night out of the hospital, and to spend the night with every-one at the beach. How-ever, the Coch-ranes don't know that I am with Mom traveling from the hospital to the beach house!

"How are you feeling about your last day of high school, sweetie?" Mrs. Adams asked."I feel both excited and nervous, to be quite honest." Fiona replied, taking a bite of her breakfast."What makes you nervous, honey?""The last time that everyone saw me was on the last day of school before I went to camp for the entire summer." Fiona explained. "They haven't seen my new look."The last time that everyone, including her best friends had seen Fiona, she had had braces, glasses, and had long, brown hair. She was also 5'4. Three months later, Fiona was glasses free, braces free, two inches taller, and had a new hairdo. Truth be told, she was hot! Even though Fiona looked different, she was still the same sweet, genuine and down to earth person that she had always been. That was the thing that mattered to Fiona the most.

Not only was I physical-ly strong enough to do so, but I was also mentally strong and happy about tonight.As Dad pulled up to the hotel, he smiled at me as I got out of the car and said, "You being here is going to be a great surprise for Jake, as well as your best and good friends. With this said, I wish you the time of your life tonight. After all you deserve it."

Dialing her combination, Lauren opened her locker to retrieve her dance bag. Lauren, our wonderful and amazing counselor, said. For as long as I can remem-ber, Mom, Dad, and I have spend a Wednes-day-Friday in July at Henley Beach with our lifelong best friends, Kaci, Hatchett, and Nick Gruene. We even did this when I became para-lyzed four years ago due to a car crash. Even though I was in a wheel-chair, it did not stop my parents and me to stop this tra-dition! On a different note, I am out of the wheel-chair, as of two weeks ago, and am on a flight to Orlando with my parents (Henley Beach is located twenty minutes outside of Orl-ando.). The best part out of all of this? The Gru-ene's don't have any idea that I can walk again.

Today is one of those days where I feel at my lowest. I feel physical-ly sick, emotion-ally and mentally exhaust-ed, and angry that I have to be in the hospital, and deal with my cancer. Usually, I am in good or neutral spirits, but today is not one of those days.Before I know what is happen-ing, Marc Jackson, the guy who I constant-ly pick at and vice versa, is bringing me my lunch. Noticing that there are tears running down my face, he grabs a chair, sets it down by my hospital bed, sits down, and quietly takes my hand in his. Instead of pulling it back. I let him hold my hand/. After all, Marc is trying to be nice, and his hand is bringing me comfort."Let it out, I'm right here." Marc says, gently, gently rubbing my shoulder with his other hand.

As Alice and Mrs. Quinn sat in the examin-ing room, nerves hit Alice like a bullet. On Friday, Dr. Curry had called the house, saying that it was imper-ative for Alice and Mrs. Quinn to come in today. Even though it was impor-tant for she and her mother to come in, Alice could-n't help but wonder why. Why was it so impor-tant for them to come in on such short notice? Had Dr. Curry found some-thing that looked odd? A couple of years before I had enrolled, Mom had become the head princi-pal. You would think that having your Mom as your principal would be hard on me. Well, you couldn't be more wrong! Having Mom there was awe-some, because I always knew that she was in close proxim-ity to me!Taking a deep breath, I asked, "Mom-my, my sister, best friends, and good friends don't know about my perform-ance, corr-ect?""Corr-ect, sweet sweet." Mom smiled, taking my hand in hers. "That is very correct."

Dear Journal, On this Christmas Day, I am about to pull off an amazing surprise that no one sees coming! I am flying from Los Angeles to my hometown of Seattle, surprise my family, best friends, etc. The only one who is in on it is my wonderful and amazing Aunt Kelly. I have lived with her since the age of ten while filming my TV show!Moving on, let me tell you a little bit about the background story behind the surprise.The last time I saw my family, best friends, boyfriend, good friends, and everyone else was in June (Due to the fact that I had filming obligations, I could not go home this past Thanks-giving. From what everyone understands, I am spending Christmas in Los Angeles, for the same reason I could not come home last month. This is exactly want them to think! Next, let me tell you about the actual plan! At around 3:00 pm, I boarded a plane to Seattle, and will board another one at 10:00 pm to return to LA. After landing at around 5:15, I will board a cab that will take me to my family's mansion for a few hours. Due to the fact that their party will be occurring when I get there, I will get to see everyone!-Sadie XOXO

Boarding the airplane with my parents and the Freemans, I feel two things. The first feeling is tired. After all, my parents and I were up at 3:45 this morning to get cleaned up and ready for the Freemans and our trip to Henley Beach, Florida. Even though I am a morning person, getting up this early was extremely difficult. The second feeling that I feel is excited. This is the first Christmas that my wonderful boyfriend and his wonderful parents will be spending Christmas with my parents and me at our beach house in Henley Beach. I am truly excited about all of us spending Christmas together that I can barely stand it!As all of us took our seats in first class, I could not help but smile. After all, a wonderful and amazing Christmas was waiting for my parents, the Freemans, and me.

"Is it just me, or does it feel like this year flew by in a flash?" Zack wanted to know. "Don't get me wrong, I am beyond excited that today is the last day of school. It just feels so surreal, that's all."""I'm beyond excited about summer vacation, and no it is not just you who feels like this year went by fast." I replied. "I have that same feeling, too."As Zack drove us to Johnson, I thought about what he was saying. This year had definitely flown by fast! One minute, we were walking through the doors of Johnson for our first day of our Junior year, and today we were saying goodbye to it for the summer. Like I said, this summer had flown by fast.

When I woke up from surgery, I found my Mom and Dad hovering over my bed. The Adams and Rev. Parker were there, too. All of them had tears in their eyes. They had also looked relieved. Had something happened during surgery? Before I could ask aloud the question that I was asking myself, my parents were gently hugging and kissing me. Tearfully, they had also told me that my heart had stopped for two minutes during surgery. With that said, it had been decided in the end that the doctors would keep me in the hospital two weeks longer than expected.For the next two years, I endured countless chemo and radiation, as well as surgeries. During this time, I also attended homeschool. Even though I wished I could join my friends in regular school, I enjoyed being home-schooled. At the time it was the best option for me. After two of chemo treatments, radiation, and surgeries, it was finally time for me to be on remission. It was also time for me to rejoin my friends in regular school. This truly made me excited more than anything.Two years later, I am still on remission and going strong. I am even continuing to thrive at my high school. Besides being the new captain of my dance team, I am also one of the most popular girls in my grade. I am also an honor student. Most importantly, however, my faith is unbreakable and strong. That in itself, is a true blessing to me.

"Ashley Brecken?" The nurse called. Running my hand through my pixie-cut red hair, I gave the nurse a smile and stood up. With my parents in tow, I followed the nurse to an examining room.Ten seconds after the nurse checked my vital signs and shut the door behind her, there was a knock on the door. Immediately, Dr. Bolton walked in. Judging by the look on her face, I knew something was up. Judging by the panicked looks on my parents' faces, they knew something was up.Looking at my Mom and Dad, Dr. Bolton said, "I am glad that you both are here with Ashley today, because I have something to tell you.""What is it, Patricia?" Mom asked, gently. "What did the tests show?"Running a hand through her long, blonde hair, Dr. Bolton said solemnly, "It shows that Ashley has developed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia."

Making my way up the steps to Chase's mansion to partake in his annual Christmas party, I am a little nervous. None of my best friends or friends know that I am here for Christmas. That is exactly how I wanted to keep it. After all, I wanted to surprise them!Here goes nothing, I thought to myself, as I rang the doorbell.

Arriving at Anderson Cove Café, I once again tried to process what had happened today. When A.J. and I had taken a walk on the white sanded, clear blue watered beach, I had followed my heart, and had asked him on a date. Much to my shock, joy, and excitement, he had said yes. Fast forward to now, A.J. is opening the door for me, and letting me go in before him. As I do that, I cannot help but smile. After all, I am on a date with A.J. Paxton!

Ever since June, my amazing and longtime boy-friend/ longtime duo partner, Jesse Lachey, and I have been on tour. During our tour, we have been to places like San Diego, Shreve-port, Dallas, etc. Tonight, our final concert of the tour will be taking place in our home-town of Los Angeles. I am truly excited about this, because Jesse and I have been away from our families all summer, and am looking forward to seeing them!
