    Nothing Lasting is the tale of a nice normal middle class pyromaniac. Egged on by his bossy mother he is under pressure from her ghost to make the family name by lighting fires up and down an unspecified country, where all the place names are taken from a map of Antarctica, and thus enter history. The narrator's father is a hopeless electrician who lives through long periods of unemployment. His mother, when alive, was in and out of psychiatric hospitals. The narrator is disturbed in his mind and lights fires in what he imagines to be acts of revenge for the times he feels he has been wronged by others in his life. The novel contains strong elements of surrealism and is a black comedy.

    Hell's Unveiling is the sequel to Marsha's Deal. Hell is raging and the devil and his minions are out to wage war on Planet Earth and on Marsha in particular. The devil himself comes to earth in disguise and tries to destroy Marsha. In this novella, the devil also runs a training complex where humans become minions and are sent to hell, where they lose their souls and are condemned to do the devil's bidding forever. The novel follows one unsuspecting, vulnerable human, David, during his time at the complex. Once the minions are trained they are sent on missions to Planet Earth to carry out the devil's plans. One of the devil's more ambitious minions comes to earth, also in disguise and seduces Marsha, then steals her children and takes them to hell. Marsha travels after him, entering hell via the elevator in the devil's training complex and rescues her children. The novel is a work of magic realism and is intended to appeal to an adult and young adult audience.
