This book analyzes the 'Five Eyes' nations' concerns and policies relating to national security threats through an interdisciplinary theoretical engagement with the Political, Information, Security and Economic (PISE) Model. Through the analysis of secondary data sources such as scholarly and government reports, policy documents, press releases and interviews, the author analyzes the five case studies--Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, and the USA--to determine how and why nations use the PISE variables to shape favorable homeland security outcomes, to determine what the points of homeland intersectoral collaboration are among the 'Five Eyes' nations. In so doing, Weaver determines that although the 'Five Eyes' countries have concerns about homeland security and each, individually, identifies threats and hazards, they do also employ collaborative measures to build resilience and increase efforts to prepare for anticipated security breaches.

Depression is expensive. When health insurance companies break down the prices of illnesses for employer-based plans, the most costly is depression. It is more costly by almost twice the next most expensive illness, which is high blood glucose (diabetes). It is even more costly to your company because there are more frequent absences from work, higher rates of disability, and lower performance at work among employees who are diagnosed with depression. The current approach to treating depression, and other mental illnesses is very costly, too. When you are diagnosed with depression you are referred to a very expensive doctor who will meet with you one on one. This book is an exploration of how the relationship of evangelicals to the arts has been portrayed in fiction for the last century. The author argues that evangelicals are consistently seen as enemies of the arts by non-evangelical writers. The artist (typically represented by a literal artist, occasionally by a scientist or reluctant messiah) typically has to fight for liberation from such cliched character types as the failed evangelical artist, the rube or the hypocritical pastor. Rather than resist the cliche of anti-art evangelicalism, the book contends that evangelicals should embrace it: this stereotype is only hurtful so long as one assumes that the arts represent a positive force in human society. This work, built off the scholarship of John Carey, does not make that assumption. Surveying the current pro-artistic views of most evangelicals, the author advances the argument that evangelicals need to return to their anti-art roots. By doing so they would align themselves with the most radical artistic elements of modernism rather than with the classicists that the movement currently seems to prefer, and provide space for themselves to critique how secular artistic stereotypes of evangelicals have economically and artistically marginalized the evangelicals' community.
