In the final installation of The Drake House Outhouse, Maddy and Zach have wrapped up their version of what happened to the Drake family in their corner of the world back in the days of the early pioneers.

Zach and Maddy meet each other and find they don't have a lot in common. But the two 12-year-olds work back in time with each "find" they dig up from an historian's dream: a 180-year-old outhouse.

Zach uses his imagination to create a movie script about the Drake family. Maddy thinks it's silly, and objects to Zach's notion that "all stories are true, and some of them actually happened."
