As he squirms out onto the concrete, two hot stoners laugh at him, but one, Suzie, welcomes him into her life. Together they uncover the secrets that exist in their families, but the truth doesn't set them free. In a small midwestern town back in 1976, Suzie and Ricky wade through the past and discover the darkness in their families. The darkness doesn't stop them because they cannot let go. What really happened in that car the night Ricky's dad died? As they discover the "whys", confusion sets in. They wonder who are the adults in their lives? Fortunately, one adult, Ricky's mom, stays solid throughout. What Ricky and Suzie discover is raw...it is painful, and the pain leads to a life where it is okay to be real. And, consequences happen, and they can bring out anger, revenge, and resentment. Ricky and Suzie finally discover that sometimes all you have, is doing the right thing...doing the right thing by your family...your friends and oneself. And that includes a big dose of forgiveness.

"e;The Authentocrats"e; claim to the be the new voice of common sense that speak for the common man and woman; right-wing, traditional and dangerous, Joe Kennedy argues that they are everything but what they purport to be.In contemporary Britain, a lot has been said about what it is that ';real people' want politically. Forgotten by elites and sick of globalisation, so the story goes, they demand patriotism, respect for the military, assurances on defence, and controls on immigration. In trying to meet these supposed wishes, politicians attempt to appear normal, salt-of-the-earth, authentic.Authentocratsexamines the function of this ';authenticity' in a centrist politics which, paradoxically, often defines itself as cosmopolitan, technocratic and opposed to populism. Casting a doubtful eye over amongst other things latter-day James Bond films, contemporary nature writing and stand-up comedy,Authentocratssuggests that the sooner we can break with the sententiousness of a skewed conception of authenticity in aesthetics and politics the better.

My first book entitled A Journey of Faith: Overcoming Generational Abuse and Sexual Addiction tackles the tough issues of overcoming problems that are passed down from generation to generation and how it seems that while the methods of coping change, the main struggle issues seems to be hereditary. The difficulty is that in today's culture, even the church is judgmental - not recognizing that the best way to help someone overcome these problems is to provide a supportive, encouraging, safe place where people can be open and honest. It is my contention that God is much more concerned with the attitude of the heart not with how much one struggles. Everyone has different paths to walk and if one had a "perfect" childhood, then he/she often struggles to reproduce that environment for his/her children. Joe is an author and is very active in his community spreading the love or Christ as he continues his own recovery process. He is constantly seeking God's direction through prayer and is always interested in following God's direction for his life. He has been an over the road truck driver, a substitute teacher, a meat department clerk, a server at a restaurant and even spent one month in the United States Air Force Officer Training School. He loves sports especially golf and baseball and is joy filled that God is restoring a life that has been so broken. Joe is also involved in Celebrate Recovery as a method to continue healing and help others along the path as well. He attends bible study meetings as often as possible and reaches out to teach where possible. Joe is looking forward to setting up a website soon and resides in Centralia, Illinois.
