112,95 kr. A new pseudo-Christian belief, Evangelical Conditionalism has embraced Physicalism and Annihilationism to create a doctrine antithetical to historic, orthodox, scriptural Christianity. This book draws the doctrine of Evangelical Conditionalism from an official source and examines it against the Scripture. Of special consideration is the impact Physicalism has on Christology, and Annihilationism has on eschatology.

- Revelation 17-22
173,95 kr. The commentary is based on the fact the Revelation of Jesus Christ is not apocalyptic, it is not the work of John the apostle, it is a prophecy of yet-future events revealed to John by Jesus Christ. John wrote exactly what he saw and heard. Jesus is the author, John was the scribe and publisher. This volume is the third and final volume in the series. The earlier volumes are Revelation 1-7, Revelation 8-16. This commentary on Revelation 17-22 interprets the judgment of Babylon as a literal judgment, the second advent as the literal feet-on-ground return of Jesus Christ, the thousand year rule of the Davidic-Messianic Kingdom on earth as literal, and the Great White Throne, the Lake of Fire, the new heaven and earth, and the new Jerusalem on the new earth as literal events. The theological point of view is Reformed and Dispensational. The futurist model is applied. The interpretation rigorously and consistently applies the Historical-Grammatical hermeneutic to every verse, every doctrine, every symbol, every figure of speech. Symbols and figures of speech are interpreted by other biblical usage to reveal literal truths. To interpret this 66th book of the Bible I have applied what the Holy Spirit has revealed in the preceding 65 books.

- The Doctrines of Foreordination, Election, and Predestination
123,95 kr. Few doctrines are more difficult or more controversial than foreordination, election, and predestination-nor more misunderstood. Human beings fight against the idea that God makes choices that affect their lives, preferring to think of themselves as the captains of their destiny, sailing the ship of their life wherever free will chooses. God's choices, however, incorporate man's choices. God's sovereignty works through man's responsibility to infallibly accomplish God's will and a person's free choices. How does God do that? Come, study the Scriptures with me, and learn about God's Choices.

- The Doctrines Briefly Explained
128,95 kr. The essential beliefs of the Christian faith are those which are the sine qua non (literally, "without which nothing"), that if missing or denied Christianity ceases to be genuine biblical apostolic Christianity. The doctrines in this book are those developed by the early church-the long-standing historic essentials-and other doctrines developed over the long history of the church in response to false teachings. There are a few that are a response to worldly culture and values invading-infecting-the New Testament church. This work is a concise and relatively non-technical presentation of what I believe are the essential doctrines every believer in Christ as Savior should believe, understand, and profess.

223,95 kr. The greatest problem in today's Christian church is a lack of biblical and doctrinal teaching. Yet, forty-plus years teaching in local churches has taught me most Christians just want to sit with someone, ask questions about the Bible, and get reasonable, accurate, and understandable answers. In today's world of short attention spans, forgotten text messages, and blogs that are here today, lost in bytes and pieces tomorrow, the essay may seem an old fashioned way to communicate vital truths to the media generation. But it works. As with the first volume of Biblical Essays, the ninety-seven essays in volume II are the end result of a year's worth of posts on doctrinally conservative social media groups. They've provoked sharing, discussion, and occasionally controversy. The essays explain the Bible, Calvinism, Dispensationalism, sin, salvation, the Savior, other aspects of theology and doctrine, and especially the art and science of hermeneutics (interpretation). If you have wanted to sit and discuss the Bible with someone, sit and talk with me for a bit. Most of these essays are between 1,000 to 1,500 words, a lunch-time read. Here is bread, meat, and drink for those hungry and thirsty to understand the spiritual things of the Word of God.

- A Biblical Perspective
103,95 kr. Marriage and Family: A Biblical Perspective explores the biblical principles and precepts-rules for living-that are the basis for the practical aspects of being married and raising a family. Along the way it does discuss a few "do this/don't do that" rules. Beginning with Adam and Eve, the book presents God's definition of marriage, what Jesus said about marriage, and clearly defines what marriage is and is not, in terms of how modern society views marriage. The biblical rules for sexual activity, friendship, dating, and courting are discussed. God's rules for being married and practicing parenting are presented in clear, easy-to-understand terms. God's view of divorce is thoroughly examined. Seven appendices repeat the rules (without the discussion) and answer questions on related issues.Anyone may read the book and profit from it, including Bible teachers and pastors preparing marriage and family classes. If you want to know the biblical view of sex, dating, courtship, marriage, parenting, and divorce Marriage and Family: A Biblical Perspective is the book for you.

218,95 kr. The James Quiggle Translation of the New Testament (JQTNT) is the culmination of ten years of translation and exegesis of the New Testament books. My purpose was to produce a translation that replicated, as closely as possible, what I believe the original readers would have read in the autographs. The 1904 Nestle text was the primary text, supplemented by later editions, trusted lexicons, textual critics, and grammarians, and compared against eight older to modern translations dating from 1535 to 2005. The result is a translation that reflects the vocabulary and grammar of the New Testament text, and accurately communicates God's word to the believer.

- Esther
98,95 kr. Esther is about God's grace, providence, and promises. It is also a story about compromise, worldliness, and pride-and that's the good guys! How the believer can compromise his or her faith for worldly gain, and how God will be true to himself to protect and preserve his people, is the story of Esther. The interpretation is based on a translation by the Author. The Private Commentary series is written for Bible teachers, pastors, and college students. Each book in the series explains the Scripture and includes insightful comments and biblical background from other commentators.

- Song of Solomon
98,95 kr. The purpose of this commentary is to describe what the Song means in a biblical context. The Song of Solomon is all too often portrayed as a sort of sex manual for Christians, or as erotic or pornographic literature, or as a story of illicit love (fornication, adultery). In this commentary the biblical injunctions against sexual immorality and for married love are faithfully followed. Symbols and figures are explained by the normal use of language and according to biblical usage. The Song of Solomon describes the first love and marriage of Solomon before he became king. The Holy Spirit uses the Song to teach his people the ways, means, and joys of friendship and love, courtship and marriage, home and family

- Matthew's Gospel
198,95 kr. A thoroughly exegetical and explanatory commentary explaining the meaning and significance of Matthew's Gospel. The book assumes and defends Matthew the Apostle as the author. The exposition is based on the author's literal translation of the Greek text, with notes to identify and explain variations from standard works such as the NKJV, NIV, and HCSB. Textual views are discussed where appropriate. The book has a high view of Scripture as God's inerrant Word, and uses grammatical-historical principles to interpret the text. Section by section and verse by verse the commentary explains who Jesus was and what he did. The book treats Matthew's Gospel as an independent portrait of Christ, but also coordinates with the other Gospels to provide a clear picture of Matthew's view of the life and times of Jesus the Christ. The book takes a dispensational view of Christ's first advent salvific mission and eschatological prophecies, including an explanation for the seeming postponement of the Kingdom. The author writes for any Christian who wants to continue their study of the Bible, for Bible study leaders and teachers, Bible college students, and local church Pastors.

98,95 kr. The "Christmas Story" has many variations, depending on the form and details given by the sect, denomination, local cultural beliefs, Christian writer, Hollywood movie, the year's most popular preacher, hymns and popular "Christmas" songs, public nativity scenes, and local church nativity plays. Misinformation abounds. If you populate your nativity scene with cattle and oxen and drummer boys, three kings from the east, and a feeding trough in which lays a baby Jesus with a halo, you have missed the true story, the biblical story of the birth of Jesus the Christ. I invite you to discover the genuine Christmas Story, which begins with an evil King, and ends with the birth of the King of Kings.

- An Explanation and Defense of the Doctrine
133,95 kr. Eschatology is the doctrine of the end times. Dispensational Eschatology is the story of how God keeps his promises to Israel and the church when the end times arrives. The book begins with a brief review and defense of dispensational theology. The question of hermeneutics (interpretive methodology) is thoroughly examined, with a separate chapter on hermeneutics for eschatology. Then Dispensational eschatology is thoroughly discussed and contrasted with related issues in Covenant eschatology. Is the New Testament Church the New Israel, as Covenant theology claims? Are the Rapture and Second Advent two separate events, one advent, or both? What are the differences between the judgment of the church and the judgment at the end of the age? Does Christ reign a thousand years (the Davidic-Messianic-Millennial Kingdom)? Is there a Tribulation, or is it just tribulation? Is Christ's advent before or after the millennium? These questions are answered from Scripture. A discussion of words pertinent to eschatology with biblical definitions is included.James Quiggle is the author of nine Old and New Testament commentaries and five books on biblical doctrines. All are available in print and in ebook/epub formats from online retailers.

178,95 kr. I utilize many of the passages and themes as part of my teaching in our adult Sunday School class." - Eddy D., Adult Bible Studies Teacher"If you are looking for a verse by verse commentary series that isn't afraid to tackle every verse, including the difficult ones that so many other commentaries leave out or shallowly touch and move on, then you need to buy and study the commentary series by James Quiggle. It will help you in your everyday study as well as prepping for sermons and lessons." - Jody M., Pastor, Southwest Baptist Church"I have been a Christian for over 50 years and this book challenged me. It scrubbed my soul. It encouraged me. I have read the Epistles of John multiple times and have sat in Bible classes on them. But this book gave me time to chew on ideas, word definitions, and verb tenses, giving me an in-depth understanding I did not have until reading it. I was encouraged because I realized that the Holy Spirit is still working through men in this century to teach and disciple the church body. Yahweh is still on his throne!" - Libby, Adult Women's Bible Teacher

The Spirit had Pastor Peter write to those who needed a more direct approach to Christian doctrine and God's rules for godly living. Peter's first epistle is his manifesto of what it means to be a Christian in an unchristian world. Chapters 1:3-2:10 are the doctrinal section. Chapters 2:11-5:11 are the practical section. Chapter 1:1-2 and 5:12-14 comprise the opening salutation and closing benediction, respectively. The translation of 1 Peter is by the author. Several appendices discuss a number of doctrinal related to Peter's doctrine.

178,95 kr. Books on Hermeneutics are full of theory but short on practice. The Literal Hermeneutic gives both: an Explanation section and an Illustration section. In the Explanation section, ten chapters present and discuss the principles and precepts of the literal hermeneutic. Biblical texts are used throughout to demonstrate the use of the literal hermeneutic to discover meaning and significance. In the Illustration section, twenty-five essays demonstrate the principles and precepts of the literal hermeneutic in action by interpreting common and controversial Bible texts. Each essay highlights one or more of the six analysis methods of the literal hermeneutic. A closing appendix provides a convenient list of the principles and precepts of the literal hermeneutic.

213,95 kr. The Passion and Resurrection of Jesus the Christ is a gospel harmony and exposition of the four gospels from two days before Christ's final Passover celebration through his Ascension into heaven. The gospel harmony is in the form of a combined narrative, using my translations of the four gospels. The harmony combines Matthew 26:1-28:20; Mark 14:1-16:20; Luke 22:1-24:53; and John 12:1-21:25 into a continuous, chronologically arranged narrative of the events and discourses. The exposition is based on my published commentaries on Matthew, Mark, and John, plus Luke's contribution to the gospel narratives, presenting a detailed explanation of the scriptures in the harmony. Combining the Scriptures into a continuous narrative at once reveals the agreement of the gospels. The authenticity, accuracy, and credibility of the four reports of the life of Christ is demonstrated. Many issues are resolved and insights gained. Among these are the Passover problem in John 18:28, Peter's two sets of three denials, and Christ's two scourgings by Pilate. Mark 16:9-20 is shown to harmonize with the reports of the other gospels. The problem of the supper at Bethany, reported on different days by John and the Synoptics, is resolved. A discussion of the relationship between ancient and modern days and dates precede the harmony, and two appendices discuss Peter's denials and Mark's ending. The harmony and exposition are structured in a day by day format, from Nisan 13 to Iyar 27 (April 1-May 17, AD 33). Every event and every discourse is included in the harmony and explained in the exposition. The Bible student will gain a new appreciation of the Person and work of Jesus the Christ.

123,95 kr. The incarnation of God the Son in Jesus of Nazareth was the most significant act of God since the creation of the universe. God Became Incarnate is an in-depth examination of what it meant for God to become incarnate in a human being; how the incarnation was accomplished through a virgin birth; the baptism and temptation, and the necessity of the incarnation and resurrection to Christ's propitiation for mans' sins. The incarnation and resurrection were also vital to Christ's heavenly intercession, his return for his church, and his second advent. The year and location of the virgin birth are determined according to biblical and secular history. Though in-depth, the discussion is accessible to every student of the Bible, and will be found suitable for all Bible study/small group studies, Sunday Bible classes, Pastors, and College students. - John 13-21
153,95 kr. This commentary on John 13-21 is designed for every Believer who sits in Sunday schools or Bible studies and for their Bible teachers. Any Believer can study John's Gospel through this commentary and answer for themselves the two basic questions: what does it mean, and what does it mean to me? The author believes John's Gospel is the accurate, authentic, and credible product of God the Holy Spirit and the Apostle John. John wrote a historically reliable account of that part of the public ministry of Jesus the Christ which was not revealed by the Synoptic Gospels. His message throughout is that Jesus is God the Son, the Son of God, the Christ, and most importantly, the Savior. The commentary is thoroughly exegetical and explanatory. It is based on the author's translation and covers necessary grammatical and theological details without being tedious or exhaustive. It takes a common-sense approach to difficult issues in the Gospel, seeing them in the light of Jesus' historical and cultural setting. Other commentaries are compared and selectively used where profitable to the reader.

178,95 kr. The best way to describe Adam and Eve, A Biography and Theology, is to give a very brief synopsis of each chapter. One: the authenticity and historicity of the biblical account; the method of interpretation. Two: nature and attributes of Adam and Eve's parent, God; salvific necessity of a common human nature derived from Adam. Three: characteristics of the created human nature; image and likeness of God; reasons God had for creating mankind. Four: the four responsibilities God gave Adam to guide mankind's interaction with his Creator, the earth, and its creatures. Five: life in the garden pre-sin; location of Eden; exercise of Adam's responsibilities; formation of the Woman; why God tested Adam's faith; consequences of Adam's choice. Six: their crime, Genesis 3:1-8; actions and motives of each participant; immediate and long-term consequences. Seven: their confrontation with God, Genesis 3:9-24; their responses; an assessment of the hope innate to God's chastisement. Eight: how mankind will live in a world changed by sin, as seen through Cain and Abel; the legacy left to Woman's seed and the serpent's seed. Nine: the spiritual problems faced by their descendants. The biography proper concludes with this chapter. Ten: their contribution to theology; topics include the doctrines of God, man, sin, and salvation. Six appendices discuss certain issues in more detail. A glossary provides definitions of certain terms. Bibliography and Sources section indicates materials used by the author in preparing this book. A biography of Adam and Eve is important for four reasons. One, much of modern Christianity denies their historicity, a view that impugns the intelligence, integrity, and faith of Jesus and the apostles. Second, modern Christianity views Adam and Eve as fictional characters, so there is a need for a rational view of Adam and Eve as historical persons. Third, their creation and their sin are the bases for the biblical view of man, sin, and salvation. If Adam was evolved, not created, then man is not the noble-but-fallen creature the Bible portrays him to be, there is no sin from which mankind must be rescued, Jesus died in vain, and evangelism, repentance, and saving faith are useless and hopeless. Fourth, to answer difficult questions. Are there two creation accounts, as critics suggest? Was there some defect in Adam and Eve's creation that required them to sin? How did their sin affect the human nature of their posterity? Why did God join humanity to his deity (the incarnation) to effect man's redemption from the consequences of Adam's sin? These and many more questions are answered in this book.

143,95 kr. The book of James is practical preaching on Christian character and duty. Sometimes James sounds like the Old Testament Wisdom books, and sometimes he thunders like one of the Old Testament prophets. James was the first New Testament writer and his letter forms a bridge between Old Testament law and Jesus' New Testament gospel message. James is not an easy book with its seeming mix of law and grace and its insistence on practical Christian works. The commentary explains what the book requires of Christians. The book's main themes are that trials develop spiritual maturity and good works demonstrate saving faith.
